Blues 2025

I hope you watched the final, one of the most complete 80 minute performances I've seen. Worth watching a replay.
Yep, watched all of the final live. Was a lot to like. Reminded me a bit of the Athletic Park wet weather AB game (1996?).
Just hope that they find some means of penalising players for indiscretions, and not fans, by sending guys off and destroying the contest. I can accept cards as a part of the game, but they shouldn't be a deciding factor. If I want to watch 13 guys I'll watch league, or the way some games go it's more like sevens.
Anyway, the Blues are a team worth watching again that is for sure, after a lot of years where it was a struggle to do that (but I did).

Berry certainly did that I thought. Chiefs got one card but Berry was hardly card happy.
Berry did a terrific job I thought. Not many talking about the refereeing in the final is a great outcome.

@KiwiMurph Exactly why I kept watching. 🙂

I understand if some thought the final was boring or one-sided but watching a disciplined Blues side for 80 minutes is a treat I haven't often got to savour. Stern Vern has been the ticket, hope the standard doesn't slide next year.

@KiwiMurph They've been doing an outstanding job. Easily the best social media in SR IMO.

EDIT: Oops, didn't see the Taufa Funaki announcement on Instagram.
Meanwhile, at the Blues, the club have re-signed two of their strongest performers in 2024, inking a two-year extension with 23-year-old halfback Taufa Funaki and a three-year extension with 30-year-old Maori All Blacks prop Marcel Renata.
