Match fixing? Or is that just reserved for Pakistan lol.

How good is it though seeing these sides come to the party. How deep can Afghanistan go in this comp?

    Can Uganda spring a surprise?

    So, are we winning?

The word "journey" is probably heading to a team talk with alarming speed...

Afghanistan is a decent T20 side these days. Didn't get to watch, but wonder if we struggled to adjust to the conditions.

Canada also upset Ireland today as well so 3 test playing sides tipped up in the first dozen or so games plus Uganda knocking out Zimbabwe in qualifying. I think this is a pretty decent format.

You should still not make these terrible batting mistakes with no warm up games .
They should all no better the dishing up this dross.

The comms kept talking about our lack of warm up games to excuse our fielding which is just absurd, club sides field better than that after playing no cricket for 6 months. Stead has been in the job too long now.

Some of these blokes are supposed IPL players too. Unprofessional as fuck, the lot of them.

It's difficult to feel too upset about losing in this tournament when we haven't prepared properly. Hopefully we can still do enough to go through.

If they don't care, why should we?

Finn Allen’s innings was reminiscent of some of my efforts on the beach after about 20 pale ales

I haven't cared about the Blackcaps since we as the No.1 ranked test side in the world lost a home series to 9th ranked Bangladesh and Stead preceded to explain to fans that we should expect to lose because we're little old NZ and suck anyway...

Jeepers, next game is a must win already.

Windies at home can obviously be extremely tough but they have a habit of absolutely shitting the bed so it makes it a 50/50 affair.

Luckily I’m not as emotionally invested in T20 as I am in the other formats

I'm happy I went out when it was 4 down. Bracewell had a night to forget, so I expect he'll be picked for the next game.

Williamson is half right on this one in the NZ Herald.

“They had every opportunity to get a very good score. Our fielding didn’t help our cause - without a doubt that would be the most frustrating part for me. It is something we pride ourselves on, so that was very disappointing.”

There's been no visible pride in their fielding for a couple of seasons now.

That seems to have stretched to the batting too.

They all need a does of whatever Glenn Phillips has.
