The prospect of the Rebels closing and Wallabies No.10 Carter Gordon moving to NSW was a factor in Will Harrison electing to move offshore.

Surgery on the cards for form Wallaby Harry Wilson

Surgery on the cards for form Wallaby Harry Wilson

It's potentially horrid timing with the Reds eyeing a top-four finish and the Wallabies' first Test less than two months away.

Harry Wilson’s surge back into the Wallabies frame has been dealt a major blow after the Queensland Reds star suffered a potentially season-ending broken arm in a gritty four-point Super Rugby victory over Melbourne Rebels.

@Duluth real shame as I think the Reds back row has really good balance. The option becomes McReight and Wright with Valetini I guess

That might be better? For all the good that Wilson does he has a high error rate

The New South Wales Waratahs have issued a plea for help from other Super Rugby teams after a serious injury to Wallabies prop Harry Johnson-Holmes left their front row stocks in tatters. The injury could rule the 27-year-old out for the remainder of the calendar year, adding to a mounting headache for the Waratahs, who are now without all seven of their contracted props because of injuries, and all four of their hookers. Coach Darren Coleman must also release Pone Fa'amausili back to the Melbourne Rebels, after the Wallabies prop joined the Waratahs this week in Super Rugby's first-ever loan move.

What are the odds that one SR team can decimate 11 front rowers?

Out of all of them, it appears HJH's Achilles is probably most related to workload. Bell's foot probably wasn't 100% when he came back either, so there will be questions.

The rest of them, according to a physio I know, is probably just bad luck and not S&C, being joint-related.

Jack Barrett might be used again for a few weeks before the U20s leave, but you wouldn't want to overwork him.

We're at the bottom of the table, with no realistic chance of making the 8.

I'd say burn a few Clubbies before we screw up our U20s.

    Not that shocked.

    Back office hasn't improved.

@NTA Any changes coming to the board and management (not coaches)? Was required to turn the Blues around.

The AGM was last month. The only change I'm aware of was the Suburban Rugby rep as he's the chair of our Union (Subbies = amateur senior Rugby)

With the severing of ties to pro Rugby things are about to get very interesting for the community Rugby balance sheet.

We poached our CEO off the Tahs

I wonder if Halangahu could be the next head coach?

    But alignment with RA...

On a serious note it's inevitable that someone had to carry the can for such a poor season. Just ridiculous in my eyes that he's effectively held to account for the oddest injury impact.

How do you think it will effect the Subbies mate, and how have ties been cut in NSW.
I always used to wonder in Qld if the subbies wouldn't of been better off without having to have much to do with Prem club admin etc.
