@KiwiMurph not having Proctor in the frame at all is the biggest troll.

Good to see. What I find interesting about using the SkyGo this year is that when I open the app it always defaults to the Warriors or NRL. Not sure if anyone else has that.

Fair play to the organisers - second year with double digit increases in viewership ... but minimal increases in attendance.

@nzzp Rome wasn't built in a day... I think a big thing they need to look at with scheduling, is who plays who when.

Example: Highlanders playing the Hurricanes at home on a long weekend... the sort of game that would get a good crowd if played when people are in town, but with students and others heading away, you lost about 30% of your crowd.

Reckon the classic example of good scheduling will be seen when the Highlanders probably get their best home crowd since the first game after COVID v the Chiefs.

The fact the Highlanders and Crusaders don't play each other home and away every year is borderline stupid... granted some may argue fairness, but I'd far rather play the Crusaders twice than Moana twice.

what really?....baring and maybe including this year a crusaders game is a certain loss!

i agree with the other points though, try and schedule some games better to align with things like public holidays, try and do derby on Saturdays so people have time to travel there and back etc

I'd rather lose to the Crusaders every year, but with a guaranteed home game, than getting a false record because we beat MP.

Rivalries are what makes competitions, but it is hard to build a rivalry without consistently playing them... Have been to 10/11 of our last home games against the Crusaders (darn COVID) and we've only won three of them, but the amount of joy you get from those wins, is so far clear of winning every year against MP etc.

Fun fact of the day: Only one play with 250+ minutes in Super Rugby this season has a 100% tackle completion (According to Opta)... can you name him?

I'm sure next year with 11 teams, so no byes, we can do a full home and away

Super still has a quality problem. 5/6 games this weekend have a favourite at $1.26 or better. It's not that competitie, and usually doesn't matter 😞

That would take 22 weeks (+3 for the finals)... seems unlikely. The current season is 15 weeks.

Betting Odds aren't always the best judge of competitiveness (Go look at the NRL this week, hardly much better.

Also keep in mind, that 3/4 are at home, against 11th, 12th and a side who has never won an away game.

That was always going to happen, AR still have the licence so it is moot.
