According to this it sounds like Coles will start.

Coltman\Elliot's stock has been dropping. I don't see them getting called up. They've got the size but clearly not the workrate.

Dixon has been favoured at the highlanders so i'd expect him to be close.

All Blacks don't travel till after 10 September so if Taylor is fine then they don't need to call a third hooker up.

If he is still feeling the effects then call up Riccitelli or Parsons. Parsons has played pretty good code this season although RR is the better prospect.
-

I picked Hika and Ricky. But wouldn't object to Ben Funnell either. I see he's not on the list of options.

Forgot about him, he'll be the 'some other fella' option -
-

I saw somewhere they were going to "review footage", which I'd guess means that someone other than just Elliott and Parsons is in contention. Those two are surely known quantities.

Would be a meteoric rise for the Italian, but he's got plenty of upside and seemed to take playing in the Super finals in his stride.

I'd probably go with Elliott and Riccitelli - I'm not a Parsons fan. Dixon possibly. Funnell is a long way behind Taylor these days, so we're in dire straits if he is it.

Good thing these injuries are at hooker and not tighthead prop!
-

If Riccitelli gets the call up that'd be some meteoric rise for him, from Hurricanes squad player, to bench, to starting to ABs all in a few weeks.

-

This is a perfect opportunity to call up the Italian...you couldn't ask for a better circumstances to apprentice a guy.

And, if he knows some people, he could get them to bust some heads when they find out who was listening on the other end of the wire.
-

Yes, to think this 21 year old wasn't even named in the squad or WTG initially. He only got a short term injury cover contract when Coles was injured at the end of 2015 and that contract was extended because the coaches liked what they saw during training and a few short stints off the bench when also Matu'u and Apisai went down. Apisai recovered from his injury but Riccitelli had already overtaken him ...
-

I went Elliott and RR...never been a fan of Parsons, although this year was considerably better to the one where he got his AB cap.

If an emergency SOS I would expect they'll fall back on someone like Elliott rather than a newbie like RR, although it wouldn't surprise me if they took a punt either.
-

Well, with Coltman and Parsons (my least favourite hookers of this lot) being asked to join the ABs, I guess the positive for Magpies fans is that they get to keep both their hookers. I was a bit worried about that, considering the number of injuries we already have and all the players we've lost from last year's squad.

-

I doubt Riccitelli was even in the selectors minds. His time will come. Parsons deserves his call up as he has performed well all season. Is Hika Elliott injured? He didn't play for Counties this week. I wouldn't have picked Coltman personally but I'm sure he won't let anybody down if required.

shows how much the collective Fern knows huh...the 2 least favoured options haha

although I guess most were picking who they'd prefer, not who they thought the selectors would pick.
-

Yes, but still expected Elliot (if fit) to be asked, and also Dixon to be picked over Coltman, considering that Dixon was the preferred starter for the Highlanders since Coltman got injured (who couldn't claim back his starting spot when he returned).

To me there is a gap between the top 3 hookers and Elliott, and a HUGE gap between the top 3 and the rest. Glad it's only the Wallabies and only two of Parsons/Coltman will travel if Taylor's concussion is not too bad.
