@NTA side note, a set of jerseys from S-Trend was less than $1200 ($47.50 each) and apparently we got our 1's kit (25 jerseys) for free because we ordered all the other kit through them
i'm quite impressed, grip pattern on the chest, rubber around the hem and they set up an on line store for people to buy supports gear

Round 1 down, clean sweep in the Dewer shield games, three tight games but good start!

That's actually pretty good - I struggle to get anyone to buy supporters kit but I know Sinalli (local guy) have a capability as they supply bigger clubs than us.
Our current edition jerseys are around the same price for the "pro" cut which is 4 way stretch. No grip panels on those but I think they're an option.

@NTA we had a good session at our jersey presentation night last week before round one, set up a shop and sold a good amount of supports gear or training gear for guys that have joined late, the big ones are caps (havent had them for years), casual/training hoodie and a sideline jackets
jerseys have had their first games/wash and came out ok...good start
met the guy from S-trend at the presentation too, seemed good bloke

check out our shop for the kinds of stuff they do

Just got notice that the $7800 in NSW Sport Grants we applied for was not successful
Ungood. Club budgeted about $20k for this year for 2 Grades after our Colts didn't get up.
$2500 = 2 x set of jerseys
$2000 = 2 x RA "Participation Fee"
$1100 = 2 x Subbies team registration
$5400 = 2 x team insurance
$3000 = physio
$2000 = consumables - tape, deep heat, match balls etc
$1500 = sundry costs.Got about $11k in sponsorship and we'll do another $15k-$20k in raffles but hardly ideal with a lot of those bills landing now.
Also wanted to order more merch but can't afford it unless I organise a preorder which is a massive pain in the arse
-
@NTA yeah, raffles and stuff getting you money in the long run doesnt help you pay the bills now
im not sure on our cost too that detail as so far have avoided the committee proper, we have over 100 registered players and about 140 of the registration goes to the club so thats $15000 too get the ball running i guess
-
@NTA currently guys can register without paying? yeah, you have too, all of us coaches/managers have "sponsored" someone, see who made it to being selected for the first squad without registering and then hit them up to see if they had money issues...its all unofficial though as you have the guys that have been paid before and would take it if they could even if they dont need it...in general though its no no pay no register no play
-
@Kiwiwomble always tricky to determine if financial investment = commitment for some of these guys.
-
@NTA or the ones that suddenly find some cash when in the pub after the game
we had another new guy rock up last night, he's got a hard road if he wants to play above the 4th grade just because he hasn't done the preseason...but he was all, i'll registers tomorrow and put in a gear order

To save laundry costs we subsidised the players purchasing their own jerseys, with whatever numbers/ letters they wanted on the back.

What is two dickheads think they're Dan Carter and want #10?

Just two? They get what they ask for, it hasn't been a problem yet.

Ah right playing numbers stay the same. Confused by having "whatever numbers ... they wanted"
-
@antipodean i wash my teams jerseys, modern ones are dry over night and because theyre so much lighter its only two loads in our machine at home, getting too a laundry more trouble than its worth for me
so more than one player can be wearing the same number? we're not allowed, they dont have to be 1-15 but they can only be one of each
