lol better than a run a ball now, hammering home

Reading Cricinfo, Carey sounds like he's edging every second boundary.

Watching the game these two are doing it very easy.

Feels like they are doing it in a canter. Need Phillips to try his luck before we run out of runs

@mariner4life I reckon it would be enough runs if we had a proper attack but 2024 Southee and Scotty K are both not up to it.

the series averages are quite telling.

We've bowled well in patches but edges haven't gone to fielders or moved too much and evaded the edge. They've cashed in when we haven't bowled well.

I'm still think we should win from here. Australia won that session but our bowling was better than the numbers suggest. Key thing is going to be staying focused, working to our plans and not panicking.

Good enough for me. We’ll be fine.

    Lunchtime pep-talk.

"OK. Gather round boys, we're gonna go out there and give it 80%, like I've shown for the last 2 and a half years, stick to the plans boys and and almost no one will get fired. OK, lets go!!!!!"

If you are going to have a bowler as captain he needs to be in his prime otherwise this is the result.

Unfathomable that we come out after lunch, needing a breakthrough and our best idea is to bowl wide of off stump at about 125k. Insanity.

Thanks Tim, great career, your country owes you its thanks.

But mate, the guy who has taken 17 wickets for nothing needs to bowl until the game is over

I'd bowl Phillips from one end and rotate Sears and Henry at the other for the whole session. I'd have an extra couple of close in fielders for Phillips too.
