Following it on BBC sounded like a bloody dire game but I'll take it First Cup semi-Final since the Europa League 12 years ago.
Watching the penalty shootout Pickford looked so close to getting a hand on many of those attempts. It doesn't matter how they go in though. Listen to the Everton fan before the last penalty.

4 consecutive away wins in the prem for the first time ever, we bow down to our Spanish overlord! Couple of beautiful headers from Dom today as well, great win. The second yellow for Forest was a dismal decision, but we have had our share of howlers this year.
Thought the Luton affair and sacked manager from Forest might take the wind out of our sails, but we’re still going

Spurs start strong but Everton win the second half, Tottenham winning out on the back of some brilliant goalkeeping by Vicario. He really has been a find after the disappointment of failing to sign Raya. Considering the injuries and suspensions, Ange has performed a minor miracle to see us into the top four at Xmas

Has a kiwi ever scored a hat-trick in the premier league before?
-
@Billy-Tell Definitely not lol. He's our only forward ever to have played in the EPL haha.
-
It’s quite interesting at the bottom of the table. I don’t see Sheffield United staying up but the others aren’t out of yet.
-
Despite beating Fulham I don't fancy Burnley's chances. Kompany seems too stubborn to change his tactics. They look like Norwich v2.1. Storm to Championship title and then leak goals at the top level. They'll pick up the odd win but as on Saturday that's more because the opposition fail to front as opposed to any real spark of their own.
Luton do seem to have something. Playing half their games at Kenilworth Road helps.
Who is going to replace one of the relegated teams in the bottom 3? I would have said Forest was most likely but they have definitely got a new/old manager bounce from Wilder.

Against his previous club no less. Good for him to show them what they are missing
-
Ten Hag must be the next manager to get the chop, surely. Already down 0-2 at home vs villa.
-
@Billy-Tell What would changing the Manager actually achieve? It's not as if they haven't (repeatedly) played that card.
Would they really be any worse if they'd kept faith with David bloody Moyes?

The fan base is impatient. They forget that for years before the class of '92 they won nothing

Fulham dispatched, unbeaten in seven including 6 wins, even first penalty in 600 days. Things are turning around. If I thought we would be tenth by end of Boxing Day I would have laughed.
Spurs and Liverpool coming up so games should get harder (not meaning any disrespect to Fulham) but at least we will go in with confidence and a fit again Alex Scott.
Hopefully we won’t lose too many in Jan window with a few of the big clubs sniffing around. Cook looks most likely only one who might go, but you never know
-
@bayimports Well deserved win for the Parker Plate. I think I had you finishing around 13th in my pre-season predictions. Certainly above Fulham.
I think you could get points off either / both Spurs and Liverpool. As in not beyond the realms... not as in in I would part with my own money.
-
@dogmeat I think I also had us finishing around 13th, I didn’t think we would get any momentum after the terrible draw and having to play a completely new style, happy to be wrong!
-
So halfway stage, who are we picking? Of the top 5, I’d pick one of Liverpool, arsenal or city. City have de bruyne and haling to return. Like watching Tottenham but think their defence has too many holes.
-
Not exactly out on a limb there ….
Liverpool for me. Rice may be the difference between choking and succeeding but I still don’t think Arsenal look like EPL winners this year (they did last year).
City to keep banging on the door but teams look more confident against them now.
Amazing AV season but I think their lack of true top drawer talent will see them settle at 4th/5th with Spurs. Spurs are the team to watch but inconsistent results wise.
-
The way the PL works there’s not really any room for going out on a limb. There’s the odd upset but generally it’s consistency week in week out.
