2024 Super Rugby jerseys

@Kiwiwomble interesting that the jersey styles are different for each team. Highlanders have a completely different look to their collar when you compare it to the Blues.
-
@Canes4life i like that they are different, templates just in different colours didn't exactly work for building their own identity...just look at the fact EVERY suggestion for a heritage jersey i have seen has been CCC ones when they were often a lot more different
-
I hope that jersey matches how they play this year.
Not a fan of the Crusaders jersey at all.

There is a lack of imagination with the colours used so far. The Highlanders is the best to date even if they have only reversed the blue and maroon on the jerseys.
What colours do you want them to use?
Lime, pink, orange?
-
...yeah, happy with ours, training jersey is cool too
i find it interesting when charities sponsor teams, is that the best use of the money? or have the crusaders given them a discount to help raise awareness/profile

i always liked the jerseys where they included white more, call out to west coast and not just canterbury

For the Blues, as an example, I liked when previous away jerseys included some maroon (of NH) or the sky blue. Surely you would be happy with the latter colour used?
-
@Bovidae kind of feel its the least the teams can do, make the away jerseys colours associated with the other unions in their region
either that or we should incorporate more colours in the home kit, Highlanders Blue and Maroon stripes or quarters like last years U20 kit

Be careful not to conflate. The only Super Rugby team which truly carries the colour of its NPC base is the Crusaders with the red and black.
Since 2014 the Highlanders have worn navy predominately, with other shades of dark blue rather than the royal blue and gold of Otago.
Since the start of Super Rugby, the Hurricanes have worn predominantly yellow, and have only got more so over the years, rather than Wellington's black with some yellow.
Since around 2000, the Chiefs have worn a predominantly black strip, with the Waikato colours as secondary tones... the blue of BOP has disappeared granted, but the colours are largely separate.
Finally, since around 2000, the Blues have worn a primarily royal blue/plain blue strip, rather than the traditional white blue and dark hoops of Auckland.
These teams carry their own identities, even if the colours are similar.
-
@frugby it seems a little thin to suggest that these teams are claiming a completely different identity just by changing the shade of the colour they use, the HIghlanders arent separating themselves from Otago/southland just by having different shades of blue and maroon, they are 100% trying to have a connection to their regions by keeping these colour combos that are similar to their home unions

"In a humble gesture, the Crusaders have allocated the prime front-of-jersey sponsor space on their retail home jerseys to KidsCan. As part of this collaboration, the Crusaders will donate $5 from the sale of every jersey sold through the Crusaders shop directly to KidsCan."
