Ntamack is an incredible player but he did not take part in the RWC. He was shoulders above the rest during the Six Nations. Russell faded badly during the RWC. Jalibert had his moments but he is too rocks and diamonds. So Sexton gets my vote, despite his below par performance against the All Blacks.

George Ford for that performance against Argentina alone.
It would have ti be for that performance alone, he's not been given the chance to do much more.

yeah, weird how they just put Farrell in again after Ford did so well, I thought.
Also weird how there was really no consistently great 1st five this whole year, apparently. -
No love for Mounga? Since he became the consistent pick at 10 he has come of age. Game management is vastly improved he asks questions of the opposition brave in defence, good stepper who can break a line apart and a very good (goal) kicker. His display against Ireland was world class.
Hope that is enough to avoid getting a ban from @booboo

More than enough

Finn Russell.
Can be a bit of a fluffybunny, but arguably the most talented 10 out there ATM. Sort of player the opposition fear and develop specific defence plans for

So overrated IMHO

@MiketheSnow agree. He’s a decent passer but I don’t think his running game has him anywhere near the top 1st 5s. It’s not like his kicking or other parts of his game are standouts either.

@MiketheSnow m
Didn’t really do much at the World Cup. Can have moment of brilliance but there are getting few and far between.Mounga was probably the best 19 this year and if TMO’s followed protocols he would have created the best try in a RWC final.

You’re only saying that cos he’s Scottish. If he was Welsh you’d hail him as the next Barry John

If he was the next Barry John they would have made the quarters

Na, they had a tough pool. Didn’t you hear ?

I don’t think there has been a stand out 10. Pollard made the important kicks, didn’t do much wrong but in truth didn’t do much. Mounga, a bit hot and cold, probably had the best highlights reel, but it was a short one. Jaminet, ether pretty damn good or shocking. Sexton, not the player he was but suits the Ireland game. Russell - yea, nah. Great passing game but not an all round good enough decision maker.
For all round play, I’d probably go for the Argie, Carreras.

Good shout
Although Sanchez was the closer
