    1. 2023 LEFT WINGER (THE KARL MARX AWARD)

We want your nomination for the best left winger of 2023. No not @Crucial or @Godder – both have gone AWOL, and am pretty sure neither played a Test.
Give reasons in support of your nomination so:

    1. You have some justification for your nomination
    2. We can argue against it, or even agree with it by adding more reasons

Discussion is encouraged at the nomination stage.

Nominations or alternatives without any opinions for, and arguments against will be treated as bannable offences.

Refer the laws of TOTY stated in the Sports Talk forum.

Cheslin Kolbe. was a constant menace and punched way above his weight. Reminds me of Habana but even more elusive but slightly less powerful.

Mark Telea for me. He was outstanding in every of his outings, slipping through tackles at will. Biggest attacking threat in world rugby at the moment.

Mark Telea gets my vote. Turning into a quality wing.

Mark Telea lit up the Rugby World Cup. A superstar.

    Henry Arundell.

    Left out of the squad.
    Left on the bench.
    Left hanging around.
    Left as a tackle bag.

    I could go on.

@Catogrande He was terrible in the 3rd/4th play off. He looked disinterested or at worst gunshy. No work rate at all ,one would of thought he would have looked at the likes of Telea, Kolbe and Penaud and saw how much these guys work around the field. They not just speed merchants.

    @Blunders

Mate, you are missing the irony. He played as a right winger...

I reckon he has been Scotland’s best and most consistent this year. Smart player as well as the physical attributes.

I would probably plump for Telea. I don’t know how he is so elusive.

Kolbe should get it but the way he is used is criminal

He’s not exactly huge but his power to weight ratio must be enormous.

Reminds me of Cory Jane, not the quickest winger, but had loads of other skills and the best fend in the business

He doesn't look fast, compared to guys like Sivi, Dougie and even Will looks pretty fast. But he is very elusive
