Oh for fucks sake, the constant bringing up the shield is getting as boring as all the match threads turning into anti-Foster rants.
Get some better material you boring moralistic farts.
@Dan54 Hope you're recovering okay from the massive hangover I assume you have this morning.
Consequence of being the first team to snap it half and post publicly laughing about.
Pure scrub behaviour.

@Nepia I have to agree with you
I was staggered when I wrote HB on the forum yesterday for it to come up as something else .
Personally I donโt appreciate my words being tampered with and thatโs my only issue
I love posting on the forum and more importantly sharing info that the average punter doesโnt get , love the banter from everyone have probably been guilty of over indulging myself over the years.
This is an awesome platform and credit to the chaps that put it together.
Be nice to have this removed -

@Kirwan Who laughed publicly about it?
Check the social media post if you have forgotten

@Steven-Harris word replacements have been used like this for 20 years on this site, see fluffy bunny.
So, no.

@Kirwan I just checked that social media post.
There's only one person clearly laughing. A female, so not a player. And then in the background you can hear one or two people reacting to what the guy in the clip says (a bad joke quasi blaming the player in the clip). That guy wasn't a player either according to a statement in one of the first media articles about it.
Also, the laughing wasn't in public. It was at someone's home. It only became public because someone was stupid enough to post the clip and photo(s) online. That was probably the most problematic thing in this whole affair. They've never said who posted the clip and photo online, but there is a photo of a female holding the phone with the photo on it ... (maybe the same person who was laughing?).
So it was a non-player laughing and a non-player making a lame joke in a private setting, filmed and posted online by probably a non-player.

thats the problem, as soon as it gets in the public domain, it is no longer private, but agree, that was the most boneheaded thing about it all, otherwise it woulda been repaired and only those involved likely known anything about it.
Gone are the days you can do dumb shit and only be able to talk about it with your mates and embellish it over beers in years to come, now, document fucking everything, absolute mongs.

This would be an absolute non-issue if none of it was filmed. Would it even hit the media? We'll never know how it was broken, but I'm sure people have done some of the most disgusting things with it/on it, which are probably worse than breaking it - the key being we'll never know, because it wasn't filmed.

I thinking breaking the shield was the most problematic part myself. And yes, posting it to social media is making it public. Obviously.
You've obviously looked at the broken shield lots in all your time reviewing the social media - it's quite clear it's a clean break, the metal part is still attached to one side. That's more likely from a drop than repeated attempts to break it via god knows whatever goes on in your guys heads about what happened.
Anyway, considering the Cantabs had to completely rebuild the shield in 1994 after a year of Waikato and a number of years of Auckland there's a lot of stones flying around the Fern glass house these days.

Poor Will Jordan was just on TV saying he had to do drug testing after winning the semi.
He said, "I tried to tell them I was from Nelson, not Napier, but they wouldn't listen...".
He didn't say that, but I wish he had!

Ta$man players are probably the only ones in the country who can afford coke so understandable he'd be up for scrutiny.

@Nepia A nice clean cut boy like Will?
He wouldn't dream of snorting lines off a hallowed national artifact!
Unlike others I'm not spreading made up things I don't know are true, I'm not saying he did coke, I'm just saying that Ta$man players are the ones who could afford it.

@Nepia Yes.
I'm really just warning you that - you know how - probably around about the time you were born - Trevor Chappell bowled a ball underarm....
I'm glad you think I look that young. But I remember watching that as a youngster and having a hissy fit. Later to be eclipsed that year by the hissy fit I had when my Dad and Grandad went to the Boks v Maori game without me.
