@booboo the Afrikaans "G" doesnt exist in English. Neither does the R come to think of it.
Any chance of making some phonetic equivalent?

@Dodge @Catogrande Weird that Arundell doesn’t get a nod at all.
It’s Farrell’s ball
-
@booboo Sid is from the Boland, he will struggle with the R even more.
Maybe its easier to pronounce Labuschagne (Marnus the Aussie) to the proper Saffer pronouncing.
The R sound is a bliksem in afrikaans.
-
@Catogrande can't do much from all accounts if you don't drop the ball

Anyways back to topic. Coaching team has rotated the players well and most of the players has played less than what the Irish did.
I really don't think fatigue will play a part. The medical team would've pulled that player if they thought he was not fit to play.

Its interesting noting the average of both of the these packs , The starting English front row has a dads army look about it ,although the average age of the Springbok pack is 31 .
its quite possible its the last we may see of several from both sets of forwards at another RWC. -

Hey Seffrican peeps (even though I hope you lose and have posted such elsewhere) how do you pronounce RG as in Snyman?
Commentator on the world feed (Rupert Cox I think) was giving it the gutteral treatment, but I couldn't really pick up what it was.
I see "RG" and prounoce "Aah" "Jee".
Can you give us a English speaking guide?
Thanks.
It’s an Afrikaans oddity. If you’re watching him play on TV or from the stands it’s pronounced (more or less) Erghrrr Chheeeya
But if you meet him or another large, violent Afrikaaner it’s pronounced: Moenie vir my smile nie, eks nie jou hoer nie.

Google tells me that might not be a healthy option

For a minute there, I thought Walrus was talking about Times Rugby writers
I saw footage of this fight somewhere else ,
my thoughts when i watched it ,
lucky for their own safety they were just fighting among their own supporters and not a bunch of fijians

I’ve gone England 1-8
I’m not confident, but that’s what I want to happen.
A brutal affair, descending into fisticuffs at one point resulting in 2 players carded and banned from each side , as well as Rassie being sanctioned for invading the pitch
England steal the game 6-3 with a Tuilagi droppie off his left foot in the 84th minute.
Both teams spent, England a shadow of themselves for the final
