Burling/Tuke named flagbearers. Do they take turns during the ceremony, or is it going to be like an extended version of the awkward RWC2011 final three-way handshake?

EDIT: I see they're co-captains but Burling will carry the flag. Well, that's not as exciting.

The Evers-Swindell twins were the flagbearers for the closing ceremony in 2008. That must have worked somehow.

Yeah, although the closing ceremony is a free-for-all. Kinda like a Chiefs' Mad Monday compared to the Te Awamutu Lions Club AGM.

Watching the replay of the teams walking in. By the looks of it there's going to be some serious chafing in the village

Aussie girls got up in the rugby and drew with Ze Chermans in the soccer. Good work after a horror start against Canada. Nearly had the Krauts too

Football Ferns beat Colombia 1-0 :good: but the ref apparently got sucked in by a dirty cheating dive from one of the Colombians and our captain got sent off, ruling her out of the next match if they can't get it overturned!! :ireful:

Six of seven rowing crews won their heat in what sounds like fucking awful choppy conditions. Men's four off to a repechage.

Very happy for the Ferns, damn that was a bullshit call about Erceg. Debatable collision at most, still a long way from the goal. MAYBE a penalty. But a red? Fuck off.
