Won 42 from 48 from 2004 to 2007 (87.5% win ratio), won 30 from 33 prior to QF, losing only to a strong SA and competitive Oz away from home. Didn’t lose a game to a NH team at all in that time.
Totally but we're objectively fucked over by the ref. And still weren't on a 17 match streak

Precisely. Ireland haven't even won an RWC knock-out match yet. It's their quadrennial nemesis. If they fail again on Saturday, it's just more of the same - hopeless at knockout matches. No one has them as favourites to win the RWC - SA, NZ and Fra have been ahead of them with the bookies.
