Don't think he got the credit he deserved for quarters -- out scrummed SA's top tighthead. Locals noticed:http://www.rugby365.com/opinion/second-phase/74261-team-of-the-week-a-cut-above-the-rest

With two weeks till first match, then if any doubt on Moody's neck Hames would be good prospect to join 23. Alternative is Ofa at LH, which doesn't inspire any confidence!

very happy, late bloomer and all, wasn't he the one who was working for the BoP union in some other capacity than actually playing, and then somehow became a prop? And then a year later Highlanders, then Chiefs, and now just maybe ABs... wow

Funny to think that a few months back the Fern was wondering whether he was just left out of Super rugby or he was injured and now he's a step away from an AB debut.

I hope he makes it, always been a fan of his despite his provincial allegiance.

I remember Hansen saying Moody had the same problems when they first took him on.

Hopefully they can work their magic with him too.

Must be a bastard to prop against if you're tall.

That's an awesome yarn. It's the kind of story you'd read about how players made the All Blacks in the 80s. Doubt you'll find another player take a similar path to Test rugby in the professional era for a long, long time.

Enjoyed watching him and the new Wallabies prop have a little go at each other, before Whitelock stepped in and sorted it out. Back in your box pups.
