Let's be honest. The locals proved they were unfit to host Warriors games this year, so this is just a continuation of the scummy behaviour emerging from Napier, Hastings and all the other two-bit towns that make up so-called "Magpie country". In fact, I'm surprised the union hasn't tried to blame a rogue streaker.

I'm disappointed that the Shield has been damaged, but I'm already reading too many assumptions about what happened.
True mate, we should settle - these shields have a long history of breaking themselves
-
Stadium can't handle cricket either
If it wasn't for a couple of wineries the whole province could slide in to the sea Aenima style
-
@mariner4life You realise that we just had a horrible cyclone this year and that this is not something to joke about. There are still a lot of people suffering the consequences.

As someone who lives in the tropics and gets them regularly, you'll survive

Geez, can we keep it civil and not insult an entire province. Us locals are just as disappointed about this as anyone else.
Calm down @Stargazer, no one has had a go at Wairoa or Mahia yet.

The last one true tradition left in NZ rugby and this is how it is treated
Rugby as we knew it is dead
Roll on the revolution

True, this is probably mainly a city problem. Napier especially, but definitely Hastings

I’m not angry, I’m just disappointed. Sadly I’m not surprised given the area. Fucking scum supporters too. Only place in NZ that I have gone to a rugby match and felt threatened. Even the fucking can tabs are t that bad. Fucking filth.
I remember going out in Hastings and nearly getting rolled by gang members.
Scary unsafe joint -

I'm loving the hate. We have the Shield bitches. (Even if it is in multiple parts).
You guys have 3 shields! Unheard of!

People from Hastings don't go out in Hastings. Plus, they probably weren't gang members, just some intermediate age street kids.

School uniforms can be pretty intimidating
