Noted, have added. Heaps of variants for that player and didn't add the most obvious one!

Well yeah but if your number 11 is getting a big score it's a pretty safe bet the guy at the other end will be having a swing too.

Our partnership is still #3 all time but was surpassed by Phil Hughes and Agar in 2013 which in turn was beaten by Root and Anderson against India 2 years ago. Current record is 198 - which would totally shit you right?

Little known fact about the innings in which we set that 10th wicket partnership - we scored 402 with 10th wicket worth 151 - the opening stand was worth 159 (Rodney Redmonds century on debut). Apart from the 4 players who featured in those two stands only one other reached double figures and the next highest partnership was 23

Yep, that's a big step up from the 250 they would have had if Collinge had submitted weakly.

That's cricket for ya though, I'm sure some plucky number 11 will get a test hundred sometime soon. Not as many Chris Martins walking around as there used to be.

I remember the less famous opener in question one thanks to reading Wisdens years ago, his innings was definitely a once in a career effort ( literally ) but to get that against the Windies in the Windies is some fucken effort.

He had a pretty ordinary career barring that innings.

Oh I should have remembered him but didn't Coincidentally his last test was the one we scored our 10th innings record in He got 0.

He also co-founded Sky TV and gifted Ed Hillary's house to the nation

The way the quiz was structured you could get lucky by throwing a few of our bigger names around and hoping they slotted in somewhere.

good quiz.

Got every one back to '68. Then the first 2, '36, and '56 and '60

Took me a little while at the start to realise you can't just hammer in names, you have to actually click on the year. Made it harder, and better.
