Springboks hint at controversial bench selection for Ireland RWC game

Springboks hint at controversial bench selection for Ireland RWC game

The Springboks may revert to the tactic which proved so successful in their final Rugby World Cup warm-up when they face Ireland in Paris this weekend.

I don’t think we can go 8-0; that would be a bit extreme. But 7-1 is definitely an option, and we are considering that

As much as the Boks lost with Marx, they really gain something with Handre Pollard's call up. Superb controller of the game and better goal kicker than Libbock.

Boks have said Pollard won't be playing in this match though. Maybe he'll be ready to play against Tonga

I'd be surprised if he is not starting in the QFs.

    Ireland.

Who after downing the Boks in a tough encounter will then lose to Scotland.

…..and not qualify due to inferior points differential.

I'm not convinced Ireland will win the final but I think they might tip the Boks. I have zero reason for this. Apart from their cunning Celtic ways.
This game is going to be craft-beer epic.

I I am really a bit on the fence about this one and I’m calling the Boks by three. Irish front row and second row and loosies and entire backline has a LOT of caps. Hoping for a really good conditions and really looking forward to what is sure to be a humdinger. Can’t wait

I wouldn’t say no to a red card to sexton for a bit of lip. Or diving in the penalty area.

Will be interesting to see how Boks goal kickers go if there is some real pressure.

If Ireland faced NZ, I think they'd win. But if playing France, I would tip Les Bleus.

Now, if the last 36 years have taught us nothing else, they've taught us that Ireland don't win quarter-finals. Therefore, the Boks will win.

How BOK refs the scrums will be important as I expect SA to have the edge. The question is whether they will be rewarded.

This is not a quarter final, Ireland well school the boks by 4 points
