Watching this on replay. 15 or so mins in.
And just have to give give big ups to Adrian Chote!!!
Used his boot to try and retrieve the ball on the deck. Not rucking on a person, just trying to rake the ball back.
Been saying that (to noone in particular) for years.

Well done Orcs. An intense game.
I had the commentary on mute, so don’t know what happened, but there was a passage where we were deep in attack late in that second half and the ball went into touch off a an Orc player in the right corner. We threw a quick lineout but it was pulled up. Was any reason given for why it was pulled up because there was definitely no lineout formed or I didn’t see the in play ball touch anything else?
-
No reason given, comms did mention it should have been okay to play on.

@ACT-Crusader One of the Canterbury support staff touched the ball.
-
He threw it ~3m from the try line. He needed to go back to the 5m line

How bloody old is this Canterbury side? If they had Romano out there it would be like a Canterbury presidents XV, and I'm usually critical of us constantly bringing back Blake Gibson and Bryce Heem!
Blake Gibson would be a rookie in that Canterbury side.

They have a lot of young players in the Squad
Bell,Calder,Darry,Gallagher,Cahill,Kellow,Grace,Gardiner,Barnes,Brial,Burke,Rove,McLeod,Pohipi,Murray,Fihaki are 20 to 24

@Chris My comment was a bit of a pisstake, of course there are younger players there, Auckland have a few themselves like Heem, Royal etc. but it seems like Canterbury have a lot more older players than in previous years like Heinz, Crotty, Funnell, Moody, Romano mixed with guys like Lienert Brown, Drummond, Dunshea, Harmon, Prinsep and Jager either 30 or approaching 30. For an NPC side, it is fairly old.
