Not enough to overturn. Right decision.

    Cracking try.

We should have closed that game well before then but sucks to lose on a bad decision in the last minute

Forward or not.. we were fucking retarded in that first half, didn't deserve to win that. Well done Manawatu, enjoy.

That was an awful display, poor discipline and far too inaccurate.

Shows last week up as norhing more than an anomaly.

That was fun to watch! You don't need everything to be all smooth etc for rugby to be good. Manawatu definitely get a drop in performance when reserves came on.
I have to admit even though it stuffed up my pick for the game, I still happy to see them get a win.

Business as usual. Can't back up great performances, real school kid mindsets. We'll likely turn around and deal to Hawkes Bay now knowing us..

Typical Northland... thrash Ta$man one week, and then they play like that. Credit to Manawatu though, as Taniwha fans we know what it feels like to have a long drought in the W column. Enjoy the win green machine... nearly busted my phone at the end, just as well the floor is carpeted.

    What a finish aye.

Loved that final try because of the simple but effective draw and passing in the build up and then the final phase.

Moorby was class out there. Shades of Izzy Dagg in the way he hit the line and became a playmaker.

Northland forwards found a bit wanting in that second half.

well that was a very disappointing performance, and result.

Kudos to Manawatu for thier attack, they deserved the win, and really it was in the opening 20 mins that game was done.

We did well to crawl out of the hole we dug ourselves, but gee we make everything so hard for ourselves with our poor disipline and execution.

Our mid-field is poor, less said about Hohaia the better, Tua has regressed, push him to the wing and move Murray in, at least he might be able to create something.

Rush is very poor, good on the chase, but seems to have no idea how to pressure opposition when there, and then the poor decisions, we are squandering so much ball.

Not sure playing Jurlina at lock was the right call, that said, Sweetman is also struggling to impose himself.

Congrats to Rory on his debut, kid looks the business.

Our scrum seems to be more stable, Remsy looks to be growing.

We really missed LHE out there, his work rate and maul work was def missed.

Disappointed, so disappointed, even at halftime we had that game to win, but we simply couldnt do it.

Hopefully we get some players back from the injury ward next week.

    pick your MOTM

@taniwharugby disappointed. Couldn’t watch the game. Air NZ. But don’t want to. Suspected last week was another false dawn. Still we have the rest of the season to play better. Doesn’t help to have players playing with injuries.

@kev yep, with that performance and the ABs, not sure I can be bothered watching anymore rugby this weekend, am sure my lawns could do with a mow instead of watching the dev side this afternoon...will let the wounds heal to pick at them again next weekend

@taniwharugby Yeah I'm done with rugby for the weekend as well after this mornings debacle, and last nights jekyl and hyde show.

The Northland rugby circus continues next week where we will no doubt beat Hawkes Bay. The following week we will flick the loss switch again and get pumped in Dunedin. So predictable at times..bloody gumbies!
