RTS has been impressive when running the ball. He should probably be playing 12.

@Tim perhaps this will pipe down all the casuals that were so certain he would dominate at 15.....

Clark was on the bench, not Ekuasi

Tavatavanawai is wonderful at those turnovers - he is so strong

Did Auckland save money by just not having a backs/attack coach?

Very ineffectual maul defence from Auckland --- need to be more urgent in getting back in behind the ball -- 2 or 3 of them just leaned on the side of the maul doing fark all

These refs really don't want Auckland scoring points do they? Imagine checking that.

Ta$man certainly deserve the win , hard to believe how poor Auckland is considering some of the names on the team sheet.

Auckland's set piece back attack is proper trash.

Terrible first half again. Surprised Ta$man didn’t finish stronger given all the first half tackling Auckland had to do

@Mattasaurus when you have that many super players and your performance is this poor you only put it down to coaching
On saying that some big names were very quiet

    @KiwiMurph said in Ta$man v Auckland:

Auckland's set piece back attack is proper trash.

Backs were terrible. Their errors and inaccuracies gave Ta$man so much ball in the first half. Horror night for Tanigitau. Midfield struggled on defence

Evans should come back in at fullback. Clock is ticking on Zarn’s time at ten too. He’s an AB level fullback but the consistency of his kicking from hand at ten hasn’t been good enough

Significantly better effort by us this week. Still lacking a bit of polish in parts, but a lot less ugly.

Bloody TJ calling it with nearly 10 minutes to go. I can remember Auckland pipping Otago (who hadn't beaten them since the last ice age), by scoring two tries in last 90 seconds (I think Joe Rok had quite a lot to do with it).

So a rule of thumb - give the opposition 14 points in the last 90 seconds and then decide whether the game is over!

    Clark looked good again

Gibson and Choat are playing well but I’d prefer more size at 6. They should compete for the 7 jersey. Akira can play at 6 or 8 depending on if you want to play Ekuasi or Clark

Ioane top tackler 15 made, 1 miss

Thought the same thing after Auckland pulled a rabbit out of a hat last week
Amua obviously the man of the match but I thought both Hicks and Robinson were very good
