Where did that comeback come from haha! We played like a heartland team in the first 50.

@African-Monkey BOP stopped playing - started defending the lead rather than doing what they had been doing all game.

Ignoring Apisai the contact work and error rate was abysmal. It was like we were mentally still in the preseason

    Wow what a fantastic finish.

    Auckland bench well done.

Out of interest i thought Che Clark looked far better in this game than he did NZ U20s

choking on some BOP ... comms atrocious.

Remarkable comeback form Auckland, we were dead and buried. Hugely tough start to the season with a few weeks out of Auckland due to Fifa; that's a massive win considering who we were missing

Have you seen a dumber penalty with less than a minute to go? What was he thinking other than hey I’ve just crawled on my knees to get on their side and look there’s the ball I’ll just grab it. Far out that was the worst.

I thought we were down and out early in 2nd half. Very happy with that comeback with Akira, Patty and a few others still to return. Nice to see Ta’avao back as well.

Johnston went one-up on Ta'avao. On his BOP debut too. He might be waiting a long time for his second game.

I think we can see pretty clearly how premature the Sullivan to ten in Super Rugby calls were. He really needs this season of NPC to develop the control he needs.

I'd like him to run a bit more as well, and BOP's kicking out of hand was significantly better than ours.

Option taking is going to take a while to learn. Also, the time that he has at fullback is different when he's the main first receiver

Good resilience to finish the game strong though.

You can see he'll get there, and I'd like him to be the Blues goalkicker regardless of if he plays 15 or 10.
