I love Eddie’s optimism and while we might laugh he’s right IMO. Wallabies compete well against us, we play a similar game. I still expect us to win but I’m certain the AB’s aren’t going to be complacent.

The Wallabies may have fallen to their second consecutive loss in as many starts on Saturday night, but it didn’t stop coach Eddie Jones from firing a shot at the All Blacks.

Waratahs will welcome several players to the franchise with halfback Jack Grant set to return from overseas to replace the Brumbies-bound Harrison Goddard.

Former England under-20s prop Hayden Thomson-Stringer, who played alongside Maro Itoje at the junior ranks, has also signed with the Waratahs.

The 28-year-old, who spent years at Saracens and Brive while also being loaned to a number of clubs, including La Rochelle, returns to Sydney having enjoyed a short stint at Manly Marlins in the Shute Shield.

Former Sydney Roosters contracted winger Vuate Karawalevu, who arrived at Easts from Suva last year and spent time playing for their feeder club North Sydney, has also joined.

The 22-year-old recently joined West Harbour after news filtered out that he had joined the Waratahs.

The 193cm, 99kg is a specimen that will excite Coleman.

Junior Wallabies back-rower Ned Slack-Smith has also joined the Waratahs from the Western Force.
A Barker product, the Slack-Smith started in the Junior Wallabies’ 57-33 win over Wales to finish fifth at the under-20s world championship. The flanker scored in the 76th minute

Interesting Anzac XV concept, involving exodus ABs. Makes sense as ABs will be playing France at the time

@Tim There's a fascination with league defensive coaches. But what I'm most confused by is Eddie's assertion he's changed the team:

On Saturday night Jones acknowledged the magnitude of the task facing him.

“It was always going to be difficult, mate. We’re trying to change the team, and we’re also trying to change the way we play. So, we’ve sort of double-whammyed this, and I’m quite happy to accept that we’re not where we should be. But, I’m also quite happy to tell you that I think we’re on the right track and we’ll get there.

Looks to me like the team is largely the same players as last year.

Rugby Australia has floated a "Wallabies First Lions Edition" membership worth $1899.00* for what looks like the opportunity to be first in the queue for tickets, and special events:

What is the Wallabies First Lions Edition Membership Program?
The Wallabies First Lions Edition Membership is an exclusive opportunity for passionate fans of the Australian Wallabies Rugby Team. As a member, you'll enjoy a host of exceptional benefits including priority access to tickets for the highly anticipated 2025 Lions Tour. Stay immersed in the Wallabies' journey with regular news updates, exclusive experiences, and discounts on official merchandise. Holders of this prestigious Wallabies First membership also gain access to additional exclusive free and paid offers, elevating your experience even further. This membership will expire once the 2025 Lions Tour has been completed.

So, to be crystal clear, this doesn't include ANY tickets.

It includes access to tickets and stuff-to-be-released-later.

*I added the decimal and zeroes to make sure nobody thinks that is a typo. The reference is to the First Lions Tour of 1899 I guess...

I had no trouble in 2013 getting 2 tickets to the Sydney Test. Yeah sure they weren't sideline, but I wasn't about to pay sideline prices.

We had to go into a lottery to get tickets for Lions Tests, I have never been to a Lions test because of that

😂 This is $1899 for the opportunity to buy a ticket plus “other benefits to enhance your experience”

This is what you call a rort.

I could spend that money on an escort in a red and white striped bikini and have a better time with her.
