Really enjoyed that - enjoyable game with NZ doing really well.

I do have one whinge though. Whats with the referee doing the NFL style public address announcements on the VAR ruling?

Just do the square, point at the spot and blow the whistle!

Boom - that will get a few more bums on seats in the NZ games.
    Well done Football Ferns!

Do an awful lot more for ticket sales than a few FIFA officials saying please buy tickets.

Well done ladies - deserved that.

    @MajorPom

New innovation by FIFA and a bizarre one.

Alex Scott on the BBC ‘What is this, the hunger games?’

BBC panel really impressed by the Soccer Ferns.

Is that the one that the coach only found out about through social media?

    Football, Sport

My new idea, because I'm really into cooking and I'm a health coach, is to have a show where I can make really good food and have other athletes on it.

Ada Hegerberg was the poster girl a few years ago for Women’s’ Football globally and won the 2018 Ballon D’or Féminin. She has scored 40+goals for Norway. Rarely given a chance this evening.

@Machpants That sort of approach never stopped Jack Charlton’s Ireland doing okay.

7 billion ppl on the planet, of which roughly 5bln know the rules. No need for this!

Yeah, BBC were really glowing. Although what Gabby "I host and know everything about every sport now" Logan knows about football could be written on a postage stamp.

Alex Scott as always worth a listen.

Yeah, I mentioned the midfield but Bowen was great too in keeping Hegerberg quiet.

Don’t be so cynical. She showed heaps of emotion, clearly meant the world to her ! Terrific result.

Apparently this is the only WC game NZ has ever won?

Yup. I think we came close before, got robbed by a controversial hand ball. We were on a big losing streak coming into the tourney, so I don't think many picked us to win. We will be favourites against a Filipino team with nothing to lose, we will need to break them down

Yeah I am just a little bit scarred by over-enthusiastic yank in the committee - even looks like her! Very happy with the game, just getting flash backs 😉
