Cav abandons due to injury and that's it for him, based on stated plans. Does an ending like this leave him wanting one last crack?
Honestly, I'm kind of glad than Merckx's stage wins record holds for another year at least
Dad, if have loved to see him get it. Merckx before my time, and Cav a Brit. I wonder too...

massive ask.. 5 kids, another year of living like a monk, and in a sh*t team so already on the back foot (same with corban strong)
just change the narrative - it's not Merckxs record - it's his too.. already equal.
Then doesn't sound too bad - time to get on the beers and do some tv punditry
-
Crikey- there's very little between Pog and Jonas at present. Pog has enough kick to ride him off his wheel, but he's only clawing back a handful of seconds at a time. Jonas still has 9 seconds.
The Yates twins are 1 second apart.
Hindley looking good for third.
-
I thought that finish yesterday did say something, everyone knew that last spurt was coming but JV couldn't go with him.
With time bonuses 9 seconds is nothing
-
A fan caused this morning's crash.
To be honest, I'm amazed there's not more - maybe the cameras make it look worse than it is.
Yesterday I saw a woman standing halfway onto the narrow road, with a flag over her shoulder yapping on her phone as some of the key riders brushed past her. She was apparently oblivious of how much space she was taking.

It often looks crazy. Watching some of yesterdays highlights with the spectators crowding Pogacar and Vingegaard on one of the hill climbs, I did idly wonder how some of those bottlenecks would react when a full peloton comes through... some of the crowd don't have much spatial awareness...

well potentially the crowd could have fcuked Pog's tour after they stopped his attack on stage 14
motos had to choose between stopping and running people over. run them over I say! If he loses by a handful of seconds he'll be filthy
-
Jonas pulled a massive lead on the time trial, even catching up with Pog's car. That would be a real boost, too see the gap! Two stages, including highest climb I think, to go. I doubt that Pog 2nd and Yates 3rd will be asked to close it without disaster
-
Remarkable performance from Jonas
Nuts to take so much time out of Pogi and the rest of the field
-
staggering is the only way to describe that performance
only way he can lose from here is if he crashes - cause he takes some risks and sits wayy to close to the wheel in front cornering.. I've never seen someone biff a TT bike around the way he did today pretty bloody impressive!

Today looks pretty brutal, I assume there has to be a chance that Pog can pull out a big one to claw some time back?
It's just over a minute and a half, so it would have to be huge, but if the Pog has good legs...
Anyway, I'll be watching.

would require vinnie to completely crack...
the power numbers those guys are putting out are insane.. saw something that they were putting out 7.5 watts per kg for 15 mins.. for comparison guys like Armstrong and Cadel Evans were doing 6.9 for 5 mins which was super human..

I might not want to upvote that then...

My, hasn't exercise science come a long way!
