NRL 2023 + Internationals

@canefan yep was dry.
The first 20 was an error ridden mess from the Wahs, but once they sorted out their error rate they were bloody excellent!
Best moment for me was after the Eels scored their 2nd try, the Warriors looked really f’ing pissed off with themselves.
To have that attitude when you’re 30 points up is a great sign.

Arise Luke Metcalf..showing hints of the second coming that we all hoped, should have had a hat trick in that first half though. Just hope Dylan Walker is ok, he was also very strong through the middle. Lots of good performances tonight against a Parra team minus most of their spine, just need to cut out the errors
Corp box great way to view as well.. lol
anyway great win, struggle to remember the last game I visited a warriors game and we won, time to get back to the beers

Yep I am a pessimist, but I can't help thinking now that the Warriors are doing well and the Aussie coach and a number of Aussie players are performing, the said coach and players will return to an Aussie club as soon as they can.

The coach and the players were signed based on their desire to play in Auckland. I hope they stay true to form

Probably true, but I’m sure they’ll see out their contracts.
Warriors have always been better with a couple of hard arse Aussie forwards in the side, think Kevin Campion, Michael Luck, Steve Price etc.
Barnett, Ford and Curran are performing that role perfectly at the moment.

Boys, we have a top 3 or 4 spine in the comp.
We have a hooker that knows how to game manage rather than just play the ball. His improvement this season has been impressive.
We have a fullback that threatens the line almost every time. Support play is top drawer.
And this 6-7 combo complements each other and having a 5/8 that loves to run makes a world of difference.

I have to say I was wrong about Egan, he is the most improved player in the game. If you'd told me last year he'd be this good this year I would have thought you had taken a blow to the head. Still not convinced by Metcalf, great runner, but not sure he's a 5/8th. Hopefully next year I'm saying the same about him as I am about Egan today.
The team is great at the moment, fun to watch, hard to believe it's the Warriors. However, Up the Wahs sucks, I hate it and I hate those guys who do the Warriors podcast for pushing it (and the silence from CNK and Niukore when they mentioned it in the latest podcast suggest the players don't think much it either).
-
I think Egan showed that improvement at the end of last year and thankfully also re signed this week for the club.
Lots of good signs today from many, just hope they were resting Tohu with the amount of time he was off the pitch. I would say the best game from Berry in a Warriors shirt. -
kept an eye on games while i was away, but not the comp. What the fuck happened in the last month??
Canberra are in the top 4? how the fuck did that happen? Canberra are shit. Their points diff is -55 FFS!
How are Souths, the team i thought would play Penrith in the GF, now 8th? and in freefall? How exactly have the Warriors scored 40 points in 3 of the last 4 games, and yet somehow got pumped by Souths in the middle of that, given Souths suddenly suck? Also, how did the Warriors suddenly score 40+ in 3 out of 4 weeks?
While Parra were never as bad as their start suggested, to see them in the 8 is still weird.
The Cowboys have dragged themselves to the cusp of the 8 as well. And it looks like 10th down are already planning mad monday.

2 byes plus games against a fallen Roosters, St George and Titans

Latrell the main reason in my view, but Souths have had multiple games without their stars. Expect them to unleash with Latrell back.

Surprisingly our team doesn't seem to handle the wet, lost to Souths and Roosters in terrible conditions and we tried to play expansive games against both.
Still not sure if we can legitimately beat a top 4 side, but no other team scares us right now. While Parra were never as bad as their start suggested, to see them in the 8 is still weird.

Parra and Cowboys could be playing for the same spot, both looking like teams you would not want to run into in the run home, Cowboys in particular have really found their mojo

@mariner4life Bit harsh on Souths when they've been murdered by Origin and injuries. They virtually fielded their reserve grade side against the Dogs and still nearly got up.
If they get there (which they should), then watch out. Penrith I think will do it again, but they'll still be Semi final minimum.

It really is a false looking ladder currently. Souths, Parra and the Cows are the teams to watch and will be competing with the Panthers and Broncs come the end.
