Despite being the Chiefs fifth choice openside, Boshier's a quality player. Hope he gets a full contract with a NZ franchise next year.

That will be the Chiefs I hope.

This game was worth getting up for. An excellent result for the Chiefs and it was a game of tempo. When the Chiefs played with speed and width the Stormers couldn't cope.

A big advantage to the Canes in the SF now as the Chiefs will have another short week. The same for the Lions vs the Highlanders.

Can I just say Burger is my favourite Bok player. He'd be someone you would love to have a beer with.
-

They were in a rebuilt year, after losing many crucial players. It's an awesome achievement that they made the play-offs. Of the Kiwi teams, they also played the strongest opposition (and could only leave NZ on Tuesday).
-

yeah, he seems genuinely nice and always happy to chat with the opposition players after the game, no matter the result.

Good to see the 4 best teams in the comp make the semis
-

Awesome win from the Chiefs!! The Stormers wouldn't have known what hit them, not having played any Kiwi teams in the round robin.

The semis will be interesting, to say the least. Will the Canes keep their momentum and again play the final? Or will the Chiefs stop them despite having to travel back? How will the Landers deal with the travel against the strongest non-NZ opposition?

Can't wait for next weekend!
-

Agree. Think it'll be pick of bunch. If Lions and Canes win Chiefs will have to stay in SA.

Err apparently not. Chiefs ranked lowest of the 4 semi finalists so get the top ranked Canes -
I take it back Sharks, this is really disgraceful. Given a home semi and butt-fucked by 40, that's rubbish.

Eh? Shouldn't it be Canes vs Chiefs, Lions vs Landers?

Fun game to watch so far, some real classy skills being shown by the Chiefs.

Yes, that will be the semis if the Chiefs win.

I see that's been dealt with -

Imagine if they had Messam too...and Ngatai, and Seta, and Leitch and whoever else from the Chiefs Hospital wing!

Chiefs have done so well with players just slotting in seamlessly to fill the gaps
-

That was a hallmark of the classic Crusaders sides of the late 90's. Which, coincidentally, happened to have support coaching by ... Wayne Smith :)
-

Always going to happen - unless it pissed with rain.

The best team they beat all season was the Brumbies - the only other decent (half-decent) teams they played were the Sharks, Lions, Tahs and Bulls and lost to all of them (1-1 vs the Bulls). Drew with the Sunwolves!

In a fairly structured competition they wouldn't have made the top eight - possibly not the top 10.
-
Watched it recorded so like live with no ads at half time. Chiefs were awesome and Stormers weren't. That simple.

Thought the ref let the rucks be a free for all. One of our guys hit a ruck from the side line pretty much and I thought you silly boy (it was early in game) and ref just let it go and then a Stormer did the same. Brilliant -

Who did they lose? Canes lost Nonu, Smith, Thrush and Franks off the top off my head. NMS out injured for the entire season too. Are they in a "rebuilding" year as well?

What a cop out of an excuse. They just needed a semi compenent game plan with their pack, but Toddy proved how shit he is as a coach yet again. I feel for Saders fans putting him with him for so long.

On the Chiefs - bloody well played! Squad ravaged by injuries but Rennie has made no excuses and has them firing at the business end of the season. D Mac looks back to his best following the break, think his time in the AB camp has really helped.

Canes v Chiefs is going to he a cracker if both teams play like they did this weekend.
