Springboks v Wallabies

0430 hours here.
Had to get up for a piss and saw the result. Not surprised.
Eddie isn't the saviour. His fascination with loig backs at the expense of actually developing rugby forward play is well noted from his last time at the helm.
Our systems haven't magically been rebuilt overnight to retrospectively make player development better, or even adequate.
We don't have the cattle because the game here is dying, there are too many cooks in the kitchen, and none of them can see how disastrously their selfish conduct hurts the rest of us at all levels of the game.
Back to bed then.
So glad we booted Rennie...

Haven't watched it yet, but I really thought the Aussies would have put up more fight than that....
-
@game_film You sure about that? They did lose 48-17 to Argentina last year.
-
@African-Monkey Maybe, maybe not! Think that team was a bit more under strength. Hope Harry Wilson’s got his phone charged though.

I can't understand why they play Valetini at 8. He's a 6.
Probably the form 6 of SR (if you count SB as a lock )

Just watched the highlights.
Is hooper the best 7 in Aussie still?
Quade Cooper lol - but the fact that he got a run probably speaks to the quality of Aussie 10s currently. -

No. McReight is better.
Hooper's game has fallen off of a cliff.
-
Difficult to see what aspect Eddie has improved based on that abject performance.

Tell you who they could have used out there today: Harry Wilson
Hard to justify picking him on super form

Sean Maloney sounds broken
We got the Saffa commentary here where the grass grows green mate, and actually enjoyed them, didn't miss Maloney at all!!

50 is on now.
You want Eddie Jones as an analyst, not a head coach.
It really sucks that NZ is geographically relegated to depending on Australian Rugby.
Amen Tim, if ever we wanted reminding of that was watching this toady!

Yeah it was rough having to listen to Justin Harrison & co

IMO that first penalty try and YC is complete bullshit. He didn't collapse that maul, he got rolled by 5 Springboks while trying to defend a maul solo. Yes he ended up on his back, that's generally what happens when you get trucked.
Rugby is not played in super slow mo.
The 2nd however was nailed on

Tom Hooper is a solid Super Rugby player at this stage. Shouldn't be playing test rugby.
He got isolated and then exposed twice on defence.
I was also surprised that a fresh Samu went off when Porecki got the YC rather than Hooper. Eddie made some strange selection decisions.
