    What a finish

NZ took their foot off the gas

I daresay Kemara had too much foot on the pedal with that kick that went dead.....

It was way too close, but NZ get the one-point win.

    FT: Wales 26 - 27 New Zealand

Both these teams are going to struggle against France, but will smash Japan.

Our scrum, lineout and maul defence is shockingly bad. Time for the forwards coaches to do some coaching.

Should never have been that close, but well done to come back

Won’t get a better chance to get an NZ scalp

For Wales last try there was virtually the same set up. It's not like they didnt know what was coming. Should have defended the maul way better than that.

After just watching there is still a soft underbelly in the forward pack. While the scrum had its moments I've never seen locks completely detached from their prop as Cahill was on one occasion.

The backs look slick when they get some front-foot ball but if the forwards can't front it's going to be a disappointing tournament.

I also hope they start the loose forward trio that finished the game.

Yep inexperience, let the excitement get to him? What we should maybe expect from U20s at times. Team looked good, thought Godfrey looked good at 15, but like the idea of him at 10. though it's a matter of fitting all aplayers in where they can?

@Bovidae I hope Cooper Flanders will be the starting 7 in the next game. Not saying he's the answer, I just want him to get an opportunity.

@KiwiMurph Yep, he's not the biggest 7 in the squad, but he's a very good ball carrier, deceptively quick and has a very high workrate. Usually good on defence, too.

Laidlaw needs to select the largest and most physical forward pack possible to play France.
