Sorry, but Crusaders are bogus champions. Well played Chiefs. No silverware, but best NZ team in 2023. Would love to see a Sader acknowledge that best side lost.
As a neutral I have no idea how you can say the best team lost tonight.
Saders were good. They controlled the ball and territory well and had better discipline.
I’m a neutral too. Chiefs played better rugby, and apart from Crusaders maul, were much the more dangerous side.
Saders stole it, and their name is on the trophy but obvious they know that this was one they didn’t merit.

Rugby will be a more fun game to watch when you cant try for a maul two times. We stopped them straight up each time. Pushed them back too. But it doesn’t matter, they can just regroup and go again.
Both teams can do it though. Those mauls came from your poor discipline further up the pitch.
That's fair but doesn't address my point.

I think both teams were so desperate to win that there were a lot of tense moments that caused mistakes at the breakdown and some poor decisions to take on the line or run the ball.
Very proud of the Saders. Chiefs have been impressive all year and tonight we’re very good but their discipline let themselves down IMO.
Super rugby is the winner 😎

Wonderful game.
Chiefs choked at the end - Cane and Dmac blew it.
I had to laugh at suggestions crusaders would win easy.
Congratulations Crusaders. Deserved winners.
They had no plan to attack from that 53 out. Needed to go to the corner and secure the ball. Terrible by the game leaders to not try to make the right call there.
It’s the thing NZ teams need to learn. Corners and pressure.

Congratulations Saders and Scott Robertson awesome close out
Commiserations Chiefs and supporters some excellent rugby this season ... and so close.. but discipline was the difference for me tonight
Referring was the actual difference and if refed otherwise, 9 times out of 10 would have been a different and correct result!

I agree, winning is winning. But it's shit. If that's the game, I'm ready to stop watching.
I don't mind mauling if you can go straight away, but if you get two chances, it's a rigged game.

I really want the Chiefs to win because if they don’t the whinging about the ref and blaming others will be unbearable….
Bump…
Commiserations Chiefs whanau. Lots of changes coming for both these sides for 2024.

Happy for Razor and well deserved too. With the injuries they had this year it's an unbelievable achievement really.
Deserved how?
Deserved goes to the team who set the standard all year.
Deserved goes to the team who had a ref decisions go against them all night. Chiefs got pinged for stuff the Crusaders kept doing.
Not to mention forward passes leading to a try.
Not sorry at all but that was a totally undeserved result.

best part of the game was there were zero scrum collapses and/or penalties.
How many scrums were there? I can remember 1??
about five or six or so, I think. Probably can't remember them because they went so smoothly
