Amazing 2nd half from the Warriors.

Best I’ve seen them play in a bloody long time.

Love the way they go about their work!

The win of a good side

Weather the early storm. Defend Defend Defend when it's going against you.
And then when the possession evens up, put them away.

    Huge victory. Stoked

it was a weekend that saw two teams eliminated from Premiership contention, as the Dolphins got hammered by a rampant Manly, and the Storm absolutely flogged the Sharks.

You can write the Roosters off too, despite technically still being alive

The only teams that can win the comp are Penrith, Brisbane, a fully fit Souths, and a firing-on-all-cylinders Melbourne.
A Penrith threepeat is still the safe bet.

jesus, i just looked at the ladder

    Penrith are conceding 11.5 points a game! that's with a 9-4 record!
The NRL media desperately want to make people believe Nathan Cleary is a generational talent, but this is why they are going to win 3 comps straight. Nathan doesn't play and they still fucking hammer the Roosters.
Penrith have an unbelievable pack, and their defense is incredible. Cleary has the easiest halfback job in the league. Imagine going in to a game knowing you only need 12 points to win, and your defense will probably earn you half of those?

Injury enforced changes for Qld for Game 2

    Coates in for Cobbo
    Nanai in for Gilbert
    Fotuaika in for Arrow

AJ Brimson and Corey Horsburgh the emergencies

I don't think those stats prove Cleary isn't up there, but it does show how good they are across the park. He does provide big plays for them in big matches and I don't consider playing the current Roosters team as one of those teams. He is generational yet? Very debatable for sure. He will win more prems for sure which says a lot about him and his team, but I get the point he really hasn't consistently proven it at Origin or international level.

Top 8 and therefore premiership still wide open, you still only need to click for finals though, although it helps if you're in the top 4, but momentum really important. Some of those teams lurking have enough talent to win even if currently still outside. Not sure on Eels now with no Dylan Brown.

Coates is a good replacement, although not the same x factor. Nanai needs to lift his game, but other Cowboys have, so potentially can get his head right, but to be honest I don't think NSW would fear that selection though. Big Mo Fo is a good selection, looking forward to seeing how he plays

Someone I'm suprised never gets a mention for Origin these days is Phillip Sami. I think he's a much better player than Coates.

Freddie hates Nicho Hynes confirmed. After not playing him in G1 until he was forced to centre, he's now been cut.

    Mitch Moses in for Cleary
Reece Robson gets the bench spot
    Latrell back for Crichton
    TPJ cut for Utoikamanu

Latrell, Murray and Martin still under injury cloud.

Far out Hynes being cut is a joke. As @mariner4life said, it's clear that Freddie has never liked him and Hynes got forced on him by the selectors.

If Nicho wasn't going to start in game 1, he should not have been picked. He only even got to play because of the head knock to Turbo. It was a terrible bench selection to start with. Freddy is a muppet. Robson a much better bench selection for an Origin game.

RCG obviously still hated by Panthers, sure just back from injury, but most consistent prop at this level for NSW.
Moses might just be the right choice for Origin, dont think he has the same natural gifts as Nicho, but is an angry little bloke with skills who can play with or without a 5/8 as demonstrated yesterday..which could be handy if Luai goes missing as is often the case. For whatever reason a souths/exsouths combo not deemed worthy which would have been scary.
Still for all their talk of combinations that were so important for game 1, that has been thrown completely out the door... for me, I don't think they honestly know what they want

Biggest winners Jason Demetriou and Kevin Walters

Robson a good pick i think, will go well.
Moses is there to kick and pass the ball to the centres (and not Teddy).
Apparently Walker isn't fit so that's why this selection is my guess

Freddie is coaching for his job, so he's chucking everything at it, and relying on Latrell and Turbo to party like it's 2021

The Blues are so pathetic. I don't know the exact stats head to head, but the Maroons more often than not seem to get over the Blues, a bit like the Crusaders v the ... Blues...

    @canefan

Blues are still better than the Canes

Anyway back to the league. I don’t follow league much.. is the NSW attack a mess because of the injury or are they just a rabble at the moment?

This should see the end of Freddie as coach.

Is that what he is? I just thought he was one of the many hangers on that would get on the beers win or lose.
