Crusaders 2023

@Winger You do realise there's something in-between "top quality" and "not good enough", do you?
I actually think it's more acceptable to get someone from overseas in an emergency (like all contracted props being injured, no other props available in NZ of a sufficient level), than for a whole season. Think John Ryan at the Chiefs, who's there because Ta'avao is injured. I've never heard you complain about him playing for the Chiefs. The Canes had a South African, who's name escapes me, a few seasons back. I don't even think he was there to replace multiple injured players. All franchises have had foreigners, but this is exactly the situation where it makes most sense.

@Bovidae Ryan Coxon is a TH prop as far as I know. Not sure whether he's injured.
He's a LH. O'Neill (in theory) can play both sides, which was the reason given for him making the extended AB squad to play Japan.

All SR games as a LH. The same for Ta$man (I didn't check every game).

I had a look at that website and the way they publish team lists is confusing. I couldn't see in those lists whether he played at LH or TH. They only say "reserve" and often the lists are in a weird order as well. So I decided to check the official Chiefs team lists for all his Chiefs games. In all those games he was named at 17, so indeed at LH. Not sure why Ta$man lists him as a TH. Anyway, the Crusaders need LH props more than THs.

Coxon has played a few games for Burnside this year.
The new prop has definitely played in nz before. Just not for awhile. Don’t think TW is playing tomorrow. So he’ll be straight in.
I wonder what happens if they legitimately have no props for the playoffs. -
Here's the rules for 2021, which probably haven't changed much - Section 3.18 is the relevant one.
