@Duluth gave his team mate a hug and then rattled his mouth off
What did he say? Or are you guessing.
-
@Kirwan you clearly see him shooting his mouth off to one of the MP players he made sure to come in close make sure all the players could hear what he had to say , had it confirmed from a contact at the ground
Doesn’t surprise me he’s got history -

Doesn’t surprise me he’s got historyThey seem fine on social media lol (the Blues and Moana players). Think it was nothing more than friendly fire, which is great, as there will be plenty to play for next time.
Great to see a close local derby go to the wire and the Blues knew how lucky they were to get out of it. Great for the competition too.

@Kirwan a great scrum is when it’s 8 on 8 not when one team is 2 forwards down and a back packing on the side scrum .
Humility is something I respect about many of the best players who have worn the black jersey over the years .
No question his comments were designed to rile some of the MP players up and it obviously worked .
But when you’ve just got out of jail by the seat of pants , a little humility goes a long way -

The behaviour of Reiko Ioane was low rent in my opinion ,to get in the faces of the MP players at games end is what started the scuffle seriously..!
Talented player but i cant say i am fan of him as an individualI noticed that - poor.
Yep I wondered about it, but as I don't know what was said ebforehand, I just shrugged it away.

That’s fine, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I’m also going to mock you for being pretty silly about something you are not really sure about if you be honest for a moment.
Bonus points for taking MY comments about the scrum seriously. Bravo.

Really enjoyed this game. First half you could tell Blues were the stronger team, but then it all evened up.
Nothing controversial about the last minute penalty try. Clear & obvious.
Yep, isn’t this exactly what people want to see?
Well done for the Blues not losing with their B Team, unlike some other teams…

Yeah but if that was an Aussie doing it we’d all be saying what a cock he is.
Both Ioane’s have struggled at times finding the balance in banter and niggle. Seem to pick the wrong moment and situations.
Someone mentioned a win for good forward play so why does an outside back have to chip some verbals?
He should have been embarrassed that a game between a top of the table team and the wooden spooners was so close. -

The perfect time to show some humility and class

Need more tribalism in the comp and then complain when there's chat in a cross city fixture that goes down to the wire.
Rieko is a villain.
Good - the comp would be far better off with more villains and more feeling between teams.
Exactly right, and there will be plenty on the line when they play each other next time no matter where they're sitting on the table which is what we want.
@Crucial Yes I know what you're saying too and completely understand where you're coming from, but hey, there was clearly a bit of needle between the players during the week and the reaction shown by Ioane and Papalii clearly showed how much the win meant, even if it was an appalling display and probably the worst they've played in a long time.
Hope to see more of it between sides going forward.

He should have been embarrassed that a game between a top of the table team and the wooden spooners was so close.Top of the table playing their B Squad, and still winning. It’s actually a great sign for the team that they can find a way to win when playing poorly.
We know a bit more about some players now, like who is the backup halfback and hooker. Akira had an awesome game, which will be important for the coming weeks.
As for the RI bullshit, he came in running into celebrate a close win with his captain and forwards. Perfectly normal behaviour.
Nobody on here knows if he caught some verbals and was responding, just a lot of projection IMO from posters with a track record of moaning about the Ioanes. Tiresome.
