the two talking points from the weekend (that is still in progress)
Carlton continue to be the March premiers, and then have the wheels fall off in April. Destined to finish 9th. But will still get shitloads of prime time games and have players win awards for some ungodly reason.
look away now @Kiwiwomble
The combined score from the last two times the Cats have played the Swans is 263-89. Considering one of these fixtures was a GF, that's beyond embarrassing. The Swans didn't kick a goal in the 2nd half.

@mariner4life thats was a fucking rough weekend
swans with an absolute hiding!....highlanders not as bad a hiding but horrible game to watch...woke up on sund and wimbledon lost 5-1 after going up 1-0...literally only safe from relegation due to other results....i hate support shit teams
-
Jeremy Cameron has kicked 27 goals in 6 games. Astounding to think his team played shit and lost the first 3 of those.
Should be fav for both the Coleman and the Brownlow.
-
This game is an absolute belter
-
Fuck off that's a fucking goal. What's the point in having a review to come up with that travesty?
-
Deserved to lose that game. We found Melbourne more often than we found ourselves.

Yeah. I must apologise for my outrage because I didn't know it was another law change that once a ball has crossed the line you could punt it even further across the line and that was worth a goal.
-
That was definitely the difference
Not allowing a kid to clunk big mark after big mark, and suddenly finding every Melbourne intercept defender
I reckon the 3rd quarter was awesome, just end to end chaos. The coaches must have hated it.
-
@KiwiMurph A billion dollarydoos to watch a winter sport in Tasmania in a stadium without a roof?
-
Equalisation works!! the bottom three on the ladder have won 7 of the last 10 flags, and now they are languishing.
Richmond are cooked. They got themselves up for three quarters last week and it look like it nearly killed them
Interesting ladder. Collingwood in first at 6-1 but a percentage of only 117. The Cats on 7th at 4-3 have a percentage of 135.
It's a weird season. Seems pretty even through the top 10 or 11. The bottom 5 are very poor -
Richmond can't score goals and it's not just an injury issue either.
Still, it was a marvellous few years.
-
Richmond are a now a mix of older players in decline and kids with very little experience and the jury is still out if they will be any good anyway .
Falling off the cliff very quickly .
-
suck shit Carlton
other games happened too

Dermie reckons the top 7 are settled. They won’t finish in the current order by season end but will all feature in the finals.
So that’s the Pies, Dees, Saints, Lions, Port, Cats, Dogs.
Then he reckons 5 teams will fight it out for the final spot - Blues, Freo, Bombers, Crows, Swans. He was pretty down on the Swans even being in this bunch.

i would drop the Dogs from the certainties to the maybes
And drop the Dockers to the definitely not making its

three teams in this league absolutely suck, and are really distorting the ladder.
Collingwood are a game clear at the top after strolling past the Giants
Melbourne and Port filled their boots against the reserve grade sides
Brisbane took an awfully long time to get past the Bombers
The Tigers aren't dead just yet (though Geelong had a lot out)
Adelaide punt Carlton out of the 8, and show up St Kilda at the same time
Um, serious alarm bells in Sydney now. Losing at home to the previously ordinary Freo is huge -
