They appear delusional or disingenuous.
Building up the viewing numbers from inciting both the doubters and the believers?

This has banana skin written all over it.
The Blues need to make a statement in this one with a thumping. Still can’t believe Barrett gets
the nod at 10. -
@Canes4life Lol every time the Blues play against less opposition it seems to have banana skin all over it. People were saying the same before the Force game.
And meh, as long as we win it doesn't really matter. Your beloved Canes barely got past them so why do we all of a sudden need a statement victory here?
We also won 15 straight last year with no title, so the moral of the story is, peak at the right time. Virtually everyone makes the finals, so as long as you get it right at the business end, these fixtures don't really matter too much.

The Blues were talked up at the start of the season as almost certain finalists but they haven’t really looked like it to be fair. They’ve been dealt to by the Crusaders and Chiefs recently so the fact they have to rest of few players against a pretty solid looking Rebels team away suggests an upset could be on the cards.
The Blues look low on confidence so to put down a statement performance and to get some swag back in their game is almost a must.
Guys like Beaudy have been arse this year so it’s the perfect opportunity for him to find some form against a lower ranked opposition.

@Canes4life I have not been impressed with our tight 5.
And perofeta>>barrett but only fans seem to think that -

Yeah you make some good points, but a solid Rebels outfit? The Blues may not be clicking yet against good opposition which is fine, but I still expect them to deal with the Rebels comfortably.
-
@Canes4life I wouldn't say the Blues were 'dealt to' by the Saders and Chiefs. The Blues weren't far off in either of those two games.

Yeah the Blues should do the business with the cattle they have, I only really made the statement due to the need to rest a few players. If I had to put my house on it I would obviously pick the Blues comfortably but you just never know, the Rebels are that sort of team that stay in the fight.

This is a game the Blues can lose, there seems to be a vibe at the Club that tells.me the coaching staff have been distracted from the start of the season. I don't know, maybe it is Leon and his Coaching future? Blues shape looks all overt the place almost as though their success over the last 3 seasons has been tossed aside.
Nothing to do with the shit load of injuries, more the tactics are confusing.

So much projection in this thread.
What are your thoughts on Beauden at 10 this season?
Last game he was poor, previous games he was not as bad as presented on here.
For example, he’s criticised for the kicks on attack, usually bombs, and Perofeta comes in at ten and does the same thing and gets praised for it. Clearly a team pattern, and with Telea and Clarke so good at high balls, I can see why we do it.
That said, taking a step back and looking at form and what would be good for the All Blacks, I’d be playing BB at 15 and Perofeta at 10.
Perofeta seems to more confident running the ball up than BB at the moment. You have to wonder if BB is protecting his body, and that’s not a good thing.

Sorry bro but he has been poor all season. Perofeta runs the ball descively, the Blues are playing players out of position to please Foster. Stuff that, it is not working for us.

I tend to go wuth Kirwan on this,, he had a shit first half last week, and hasn't been his best, I think he gets a little harshly judges because he's BB, and so it's trendy on the net to say how bad he is. Bit similar to Sam Cane, who is probably best 7 in NZ this year, the anti posters just dislike looking for positives in their games. In saying that I would still say RMo is the starting 10 for ABs, DMac is going bloody well too.

Hey Zarn, come down to Christchurch. You can play 10 for us next year.
