there needs to be an investigation!...every other warriors team 20-0 down loses by 40 minimum, well done Warriors that was an insane effort
When we were down 30-24 late in the game and the rain started to come down harder I thought we would drop the ball on attack and lose any chance of winning. I even convinced myself that against the Sharks in their backyard coming back from 20, that we had played a great second half and shown we are a very good side even with a loss.

Webster has built his Warriors in a similar way to Mody Maor and the Breakers, based on defence and doing the basics well. That will keep us in plenty of games this season

ok, so, it's already weird, but the Warriors are 2nd!
The Broncos are sitting pretty at the top unbeaten. They flogged the Tigers, and they were a couple of dropped chances from racking up a really big score.
The Panthers ended the Raiders' chance at a premiership, slapping them in Canberra
Melbourne beat Souths with the best defensive display you are ever likely to watch
Manly and Newcastle played out an actual draw. Maybe the Knights will learn to not be so petty and play their contracted players, because Dom Young is fucking superb.
The Dragons put away the Dolphins, who are starting to run out of first graders already.
And the last game of the weekend went to Golden Point, and the Dogs pulled off a fucking miracle to beat the Cowboys in really shitty conditions.Except for the Tigers it's a very tight season at the moment.
-
@mariner4life NRL must be pinching themselves at the quality of the games right now (except any game that involves the Tigers). Just this weekend alone two more golden point thrillers and a missed kick from Hynes preventing a third.
Warriors have a long way to go and as a long time supporter, the first thing that comes to mind, is not about making the eight, but is it enough to not get the spoon lol? Our centres defensively get schooled every week, luckily for us other teams are happy to revert back to a grind against us and we can beat them at that this year. At least there are a lot of positives at the moment. Still hoping Tohu not an MCL, never looked like he would start, just don't know how much was smoke and mirrors from the club.
Roosters will have two games without Tedesco now I think and ironically could be tougher without him to beat, as their spine operated better as a unit
Broncos the team to beat..

@bayimports mate, i am pretty far from making September plans yet.
But what's different about this team is, we look actually fit, and thus there is no late fade out. And when things go wrong they don't drop their bundle, in fact they don't change their approach. There looks complete buy-in to the plan. Early wins definitely help that, but what ever Webster is saying is sticking.
The huge concerns are, the edge defense is awful. Those early overlaps yesterday were park football standard. Guys jamming in and not trusting the inside defender, not coming forward to pressure the pass, and the Sharks ran in touch tries. And it would be nice not to have to chase the scoreboard every week.
When the whips are cracking i don't think we are a top 4 side, but i am starting to think we are definitely the 7-12 side we have looked so far. And that exceeds my expectations with this roster.
If SJ gets hurt, the equation may change massively. And who can honestly say they thought that would be a reality this year? -
Finucane facing 3-4 and Niukore 2-3 match bans at the judiciary for hip drops. Watching live, I was surprised at the binning of both. Watching replays looks like both guilty of an action although surprised at grade 2

On a wet night in Melbs, the Roosters did miss Tedesco tonight. They were rubbish.

Their halves are shit
And cheese is so dar below Harry Grant it's not funny
Really good by Melbourne though. Where do they keep finding the players? How good is meaney going?
-
It’s also the coaching at Melbourne. If Daine Lawrie was their fullback we would also be saying how good is that young kid. Meaney playing well, probably ends up on Warbricks wing in a couple of weeks
Roosters had a seriously off night, even Manu didn’t really fire. Cheese didn’t fire a shot. When he had those games in Melbourne, Bellyache used to tear shreds off him.
How good is Grant and Munster though!

I really thought the amount of experience they lost in one off season would finally take its toll and it was starting to look that way .
But all of a sudden, the new faces seem to be embracing Bellamy’s systems, may not be the end after all .

Bunker scrubs a Warriors try, then a minute later Knights are in.
Fucking Knights getting the bounce of the ball tonight.
And the no try, for obstruction. The guy who was obstructed has a 0% chance of stopping the try, fucking nonsense.
Sounds like the NRL are making sure to bury us tonight
-
That was a rubbish call on the no try. “Peeling off” to go to the tackle…that is at least 10-15 metres away. Get stuffed.
And as an aside, Frizell is a dirty player. Should’ve been penalised for two high cheap high shots.
