Reds v Crusaders

I'd be remonstrating with Murphy too. His positioning at that scrum was diabolical, obviously impeding a defender..
-
@antipodean Might as well just say if the Reds were good they'd score more points?

Lovely snipe
Ran straight at the gap created by taking the defender well beyond the ruck. Nice work.

Skill and decision making can be improved. The positive is he building blocks are there. Case in point; that try.

Some try by the Reds.

@Damo Murphy is pretty silly generally.
Reds shown some glimpses but the basics are once again absent. Crusaders C will probably blow this open in the final 20.
Lol Derps, I still remember seeing him ref his first ever senior game of rugby, it was Borthers 2nd grade against Logan at Brother's home ground. Damon was a Brother's player up till year before that, used to see him play a bit.

Halfway through typing about this being pretty good defence by the Reds and then of course, the Crusaders score.
Not sure how I feel about being able to sub off props when in the middle of a scrum / reset scrum section of the game. Seems a bit of an unfair tactical advantage. I guess nothing is going to stop it going the other way too though.

He was a poor 7s ref, which inevitably results in a dreadful rugby ref. The rucks have been a joke in his game: Players off their feet, clearly not coming through the gate, not supporting their own bodyweight etc.
That 22 - halfway debacle says everything about him as a ref.
