Collingwood accepts Eddie's apology.
-

This one has really stuck in my craw. (whatever that means but I think it's the same as pisses me off)

Wasn't the original funny joke aimed not at her gender but more at the fact that she's an annoying journo who doesn't kowtow to the "stakeholders" of the game?

No? It was completely and totally about domestic violence? Really?

So what, people actually thought these guys were going to drown a person (a woman even!) on TV at a huge charity event? And that's the proof that this sort of thing impels a pissed up fuckwit with massive insecurity issues to swing at his poor suffering wife (not "wife" Siam, we're all "partners" now, until the alimony money is due).

I call bullshit.

I get the message about not encouraging Roy Chubby Brown "jokes" demeaning people. I used the same rationale when Goodes was going through his tumult, but a poorly thought out comment about drowning a journalist is all about domestic violence??? Really?? umm ok then, whatever.

And because I've ranted so long I'll repeat my new found philosophy for life in a 1st world country

Don't ever fucken ever take Cunnts on TV seriously, ever! They're not real, don't exist in a real medium and only exist to make us buy steak knives, new cars, phones and dishwashing liquid - that is their sole purpose.

Bah fucking humbug
-

Essendon have the best part of their list suspended, and still the Lions are the worst team in the comp.

Underskilled, rudderless, with a plan that doesn't work. Their effort has gone now as well. Something needs to change.

The Tigers are currently giving them a right touch up. -
SAINTERSSSSSSSS.

What a win. Was flicking through it during the Aussie test, but then watched it in full afterwards. Very proud of the young Saints. We used pace early on and stunned the Cats.

The class of the Cats came to the fore in the 3rd qtr and they hit the lead. I thought we were gone. But what a finish. Was pleasantly surprised to see us composed at the death. -
The cats hammer good teams and then lose to mid table ones.

The form of Carlton and the saints makes me yearn for change at the Lions -
Ablett gooorne for the season. Some whinges about his value at a mill a season given injuries. He'd be a great grab for any team and still worth huuuge money.

Kieran Jack's mum is odd. Why play out internal family dramas on Twitter?

Crows in third :)

Distinct break between the top 8 and the pack. 1st (Hawks) on 48, 3 teams on 44, 4 on 40. 9th-13th 3 wins out of it on 28. 7 games left. -

8 is sorted, and has been for 3 weeks. Lots of calls to rejig the fixture list to add some meaning to the last couple of months of the season. Problem isn't the fixtures, it's the gap between the good teams, and the shit ones. The draft is supposed to equalize, but free agency has killed that.

Comp itself is still wide open, and will depend on who gets hot at the right time. At different points of the season the favourite has moved between the Cats, the Swans, the Dogs, North, and the Hawks. Don't count out GWS if they can get their talls playing well up front. And yes Booboo, i guess the Crows, but they are shit on the MCG, so that kinda fucks them for September.

Hawthorn are looking ominous again though, quietly gone about getting themselves to the top of the pile again.

That Jack family thing was fucked up, but then his old man was always a bit of a fuckwit. Send Ian Roberts around to have a word...
-

Oh, and on the Gazza thing.

Not worth it? Any club in the comp would want to have him. He gets hurt because the Suns rely on him to do fucking everything. And it's not like his salary is leaving them short of talent, they have heaps of that (albeit injured a lot), their problem is a rubbish culture that resulted in them being forced to flick important pieces of the puzzle (like Charlie Dixon, who is killing it at Port), and made them unattractive to other talent.

Footy in Qld is fucked. The Lions are a basket case, the Suns aren't much better.

But the situation in Qld is showing how hard it is to climb the ladder.
-

What a miserable season this turned out to be for Tigers supporters. We were supposed to be improving but the game's moved on from our list we've been building.

-

yea, the Tigers have a very big set of decisions to make at the end of the year (very much like Freo). Can the coach and the current list adapt to the game as it is played now, or are sweeping changes needed? I expected them to give the top 4 a nudge, but they have been terrible.

-

Oh Gold!

We have a whole lot of stupid going on here!!

Because bitches. OLD bitches.
-

good game last night, very intense. Fuck the Hawks are an impressive outfit.

Booboo i agree about the SCG, the first time i went to a test there in the 90s i was astounded how small it was. I felt like i had played on bigger club fields. Given the size you would think the Swans would be a bit more cautious about giving up 50s.
