Cricinfo is always full of comments about "why aren't they scoring at 5 an over" as if teams can just decide on whatever scoring rate they want. Plenty of fast scoring players lower down if they can keep wickets in hand
Not everyone can be cricket experts like us on the fern though

Especially coming out after a rain delay when the conditions are uncertain and can change quickly.
This is basically going to be a double session today, almost 4 hours. Will be interesting to see whether than benefits the batters or bowlers more.

That was my first thought, but also means that they have to stay focused for longer too so maybe more chances of a mental error.
but not broken by 20 or 40 minute intervals and having to restart.
Latham gone; spinner bowled well. Scoring fast in Test cricket is hard!

@nzzp unless you're a tail ender who just doesn't care about good or bad deliveries and takes a consistent slog approach!
Chance for some Nicholls redemption? ...just not possible surely?

Well I’m certainly liking his strike rate so far, KW is channeling his inner Boycott at the other end

@MN5 Im ok with Kane holding an end, we could still collapse and we want a draw at minimum lol
Im also ok with Nicholls though having a go.

Yes it wasn’t a criticism.
Who am I to have a go at our GOAT ?

looks like we are going to have a go at it, quite a few runs to get though

@No-Quarter Couple of cheap overs and Mitch Jr.s wicket and suddenly it's looking steeper.
