    @Chris-B Root. All day.

    Is that an instruction?

    We're just not getting the rub of the green - edges falling short, or going over slips.

    Such is life, but damn it's annoying.

    Well, at least we’ll go down as plucky losers instead of the hiding that was on the cards a couple of days back.

    Has anyone got anymore straws for me to clutch ?

    For a short time we were often the plucky winners...

    well, well, well, second bouncer at a guy on one leg and it gets a wicket, NZ brains trust is severely lacking. how this was not tried earlier is beyond me

    Clutch by Stokes and Root. Stokes has always been a clutch player, though.

    Gotta recognize the 'moments' , not roll over meekly after keeping a team out there for 160 overs.

    @Rapido nice work.

    Root though, he's untouchable, he will guide England home without even breaking a sweat here.

    Bloody impressive to score two tons in a test, especially in a serious 4th innings chase. Losing the captaincy suits Root.

    You would still back England to win from here..need only 43

    I would potentially put away the bouncers now unless they continue to swat at everything

    modern tail enders can bat - it's T20 and ODI legacy. Fark knows our chances; dpeends how we bowl and field I guess!
