fair, that's my jock strap on the beer. Mmmm.
Fantastic, (and I can imagine the labels) but forgive me if that doesn't make it sound tasty!

Smeg Hazy
Hazy Smeghead.. Or, just to be a little bit more obscure, Red Dwarf Rimmer. One day I'm sure I'll spy a 'Self Loathing Beast'-labelled supercheap and disgusting vodka bottle..

Latest beer currently on tap and first for the new year as I did this one over the holiday period.
Creatively called "NY23 Imperial NEIPA" @ 9.2% Boozy and Hazy AF using Idaho-7, Nelson Sauvin and Riwaka hops.
Thick hazy fruit bomb. This hop combination really hits the mark.

So did another Hard Seltzer, this time a 12% Lychee and Guava. Turned out brilliantly, very refreshing but potent AF for these hot humid Sydney days.
Posted this in a few FB groups I belong to and interestingly, I was contacted by a fellow member who turns out to work for a commercial brewery out of WA.
Having seen a number of my seltzers I've posted, he asked if I would be okay to provide recipes and methodology which I did.
Looks like they are looking to add a Selzer on tap at their local Taphouse.
To say thanks for sharing with him, he said he'd send a couple of their beers. Today completely out of the blue as I wasn't expecting anything, beer mail this morning.
Some real crackers in the lineup including that "Sweet 16" is an Imperial Stout at 16% ABV!
Toughest choice of the day is to decide which beers to put into the fridge for Beer O'clock later this afternoon.

You know very well the answer is “all of them” , and if the wife and kids food has to come out to make room, then so be it

are they having a crack at Russell Crowe?
And your Lychee and Guava sounds fantastic.

the above tasty lineup from Ronin makes me think there should be a Grumpy Old Man beer (but I'm flexible on what type it should be).

Aucklanders, any recommendations for a craft beer pub that has a good selection of food as well? Preferably in or near the CBD.
When I lived in the CBD I liked this place for the beer. The food was ok pub stuff

@Bovidae said in Beer thread:
That place did come up when I did a Google search. To be more accurate, not all of our group are beer drinkers so I really need a pub that serves more than just the standard pub food, and has decent craft beer. I will check out some menus.
That place is totally about the beer

The Brewers Co-operative - NZ Craft Beer Bar & Fish & Chips
Very big fan of this place, have visited here every time I make it to NZ for the past half decade or so.
Great collection of beers on tap which rotates with many of NZ craft breweries as well as very good pub food with an emphasis on seafood.

Vultures Lane on Vulcan Lane is the best craft beer and pub grub place in the city. Their pies are next level.
That said, probably not your group's bag. If you want more varied (fancier?) food, maybe Brew On Quay (although their pricing was eye watering last time I was there)

Maybe head to @nzzp ’s place for some home brewed crafties and some [insert some meat] wrapped in [insert some other meat] smoked on the Joe for 37 hours?

errr. this is pretty much my life. If I wasn't worried about looking like this, I'd do more of it

One of the South Park guys is looking more and more like this.

powdered beer? From Germany? I hesitate to think what this could taste like but I'm kind of keen to try it. Might be an option for packing for a long hike.
