LoL. I missed the last game but thought I'd heard they beat Brisbane at the death.

Love that United missed out especially with it being so close. I pictured all those ferals that I’ve sat near at Hisense Arena watching and cheering for the Kings and then immediately feeling ripped off. Haha suck it.

Corey Webster is cooking. The fact that Cotton went 1/20 from the field and they still pulled off. There was a nice moment after the game where Cotton was hugging Corey and you could tell that Cotton knew Corey saved his backside.

I see Pinder won back-to-back MIP - that’s gotta be rare!

Strange that the defensive player of the year plays for the second-worst defending team. A pity they didn't select an all-defensive team.

i would have picked Pardon, he was seriously good (only player i saw stop Pinder dead in his tracks)

Taipans had a night out, picking up every award they were nominated for, and had two guys on the all-NBA 2nd team.

won't mean much if we lose to Tassie tomorrow and then get rolled by Cotton on Sunday.

Not having Pinder for the rest of the season is going to hurt.

Both play-in games won by the touring side

Perth come back from a decent deficit and go big in the 4th to eliminate SEM

Jackjumpers go to Cairns and put them away comfortably (despite Cairns hitting the front in the 3rd).

Two telling stats for the Taipans
    5/22 from 3 (against 10/21)
    8 bench points to 46

The Taipans are in a battle because right now we have 5 good players. The starting 5 are as good as anyone, and if it was a 6 with pinder, we are a shout of winning the whole thing. Without Pinder it's 5 guys trying to play all game. On the bench we have
Deng, a 6'9 streak of piss that can't defend, doesn't rebound, and on offense stands outside the arc and jacks up 5-6 threes a game. And on a good night will hit 2 of them
Ayre, a little hustle guard, who at his best plays pest defence, pushes the ball up the court quick and is pass first. But suddenly in the last 3 weeks he thinks he's a scorer, so he's jacking up (flat) 3s and attacking the rim despite being shorter than me (to predictable results)
Jonah Antonio was recruited as a sharp shooter who is shooting at less than 30%
That's our bench.. They played 32 total minutes

So we need the main guys to play huge to win. DJ Hogg was flat. We were stone cold from 3. McCall bustled his way to points, but we shot like shit. missing a third of our freethrows didn't help

So now we get a buoyant Perth on Sunday and i already know how that goes.

Good season, but we are cooked.

@mariner4life Lots of ifs and buts, for the Breakers as well.

If the MVP could actually make some FTs then Perth is already gone.

I thought I was watching Isaiah Thomas out there the amount of times McCall ended up on the floor after a drive or shot. Can’t doubt his effort but some of those drives were ill advised and not great for self-preservation!

Your mob seriously need Shannon Scott to have a career night.

After a hot start the Breakers hold a slim 2 point lead. It's gonna be a massive second half

We've built a solid lead going into the fourth quarter but Brantley has been ice cold. Right on cue he shoots a 3.

I always liked Weeks as a Breaker. Not liking him right now...
