@Kiwiwomble for sure but unsure. Might be coz the 96 designs aren't too flashy? Who knows it's just what I've heard.

@Stargazer Ahhhh Prince Charles Park, certainly brings back memories. I well remember seeing William Ryder play for the very first time in the Nawaka 7s at that very Park the first time I was in Fiji. Stayed in the Narewa Village just outside Nadi and was appointed "coach" (or was it manager?, can't really remember it was about 20 years ago now) of the village's Western Marines 7s side that played in that tournament. I suspect it was mainly because they wanted it to be known that they had a kiwi involved with them to try and scare their opponents but suspect that it was mainly because the white man is usually thought to be rich and was expected to pay for all the refreshments etc!!!!!!!
Well recall that there was a crowd invasion from behind the deadball line from the right hand end of the grandstand as you look at it in the top picture. Sadly it was supporters of the second Western Marines team as it turned out but it was a good knuckle up amongst the well lubricated invaders and the Western Marines B team's opponents!!!!!! The village elders did not take too kindly to the act and there were major ramifications dealt to those involved. -
All Blacks coach Ian Foster said the load management of All Blacks during this year's DHL Super Rugby Pacific was a natural evolution of systems applied in the past and had not been created with the Rugby World Cup in mind.
"It's an individualised approach where we look at our players separately," he said.Under previous protocols, two byes and two games away from the team environments were applied. Strategies were always worked out with the Super sides.
"It's been complicated by Super Rugby only having one bye this year, which effectively means you take out a natural break for players.”
Foster said what had been agreed with the Super Rugby clubs for 2023 was that some of the more senior players would not play more than five games in a row.
Exceptions would be made for All Blacks who had lower playing minutes last year, younger players, or those returning from long-term injuries. This had been discussed with the clubs, and there would be some six-game exceptions.
"The overwhelming theme is to have them available for the vast majority of Super Rugby Pacific because that competition is vital for us, but also that we make sure that we do what we can to have a responsible management plan."
The Super Rugby clubs had developed their plans for 2023 to ensure all players were available for the playoff games, he said.

All appears very sensible rather than having strict rules that are then bent or broken.

@Stargazer $7 to watch a single trial game. They're delusional.

With more than 30,000 rugby fans attending the first ever Super Round over the ANZAC weekend, SAZAAR CEO Brendan Morris remained confident they can build on it whilst 'building on the lessons of last year.'
“It is fantastic that based on last year’s success we are heading to Melbourne once again for Super Round," Morris believes.
"The concept of having all the matches at one venue, in one city, over a single weekend is a big attraction for the tournament and is appealing to our fans.30,000 isn't that much for an entire weekend with so many games
Last year? He's already living in 2023?
Was it really a success?Just bought my ticket for the Friday night. 3 NZ teams in action including the good guys.
