As good as The Cult were (legit great band), there was a deeply shitty band from Ireland who were equally in magnitude as horrible - The Black Eyed Crowes. The cheesiest, crappiest shit imaginable. I get cringe hives even thinking about them. Horrifying. Like if the characters from Sons of Anarchy tried to form a southern rock band.

    I genuinely love the Crowes.

I’m sure that’s who you are talking about …. But from Ireland?

I would explain that my taste in music is quite eclectic. I have a particular fondness for grunge music from the years 1992-1994, as well as for the band Metallica.

    My favourite songs are:

    • "Alive" by Pearl Jam - I love the raw energy and emotion in Eddie Vedder's vocals, and the song's lyrics about feeling alive and making the most of life resonate with me.
    • "Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden - I love the song's dark, atmospheric sound and Chris Cornell's distinctive voice. The lyrics, which are open to interpretation, are also quite intriguing.
    • "Master of Puppets" - I love the song's heavy, intense guitar riffs and the way the band builds up tension throughout the song. The lyrics about addiction and losing control also resonate with me.
    • "One" - I love the song's powerful, emotional lyrics and the way the band seamlessly blends heavy metal with orchestral elements. The lyrics, which are based on a novel, convey a powerful anti-war message.
    • "Enter Sandman" - I love the song's iconic guitar riff and the way the band uses different tempos and styles to keep things interesting. The lyrics, which deal with nightmares and fear, are also intriguing.

Regarding the most retarded thing on the internet I have ever seen, which was on the bottom ten thread, about ACDC, they licenced for free two of their biggest songs to a great Canadian independent movie about getting fucked up.

Wish I would have seen Jeff Beck in my area a couple of years ago. Listening to some of his stuff and I think a voice always supplements a guitar and I prefer songs with the mix.

If you know of others spare me the grief of reviewing his entire body of work.

@Bovidae Nice. She's has a great blues voice. This club is a little bigger in occupancy than the Baked Potato in LA. Both jazz clubs with great small venue experience. I saw Steve Lukather there in December. Great fun and of course he had great musicians around him.

Gosh Jeff Beck played with a lot of people.

One of my favourite guitar leads that he did ( which the announcer on More FM acknowledged ) was Private Dancer by Tina Turner, easily her best song in my opinion.

    Upstairs or downstairs?

The house band that plays upstairs is great.

So did Kevin Spacey. Doesn’t make him good.

@Crucial. Talking about the Baked Potato. Never been to England. Baked Potato holds about 80 odd and is 2 tiers. Split level. Really small. Sorry for the confusion.

That’s not bad. I like what you did there. Just so we’re clear and I can decide whether I’m triggered or not, are you saying Beck was no good ?

Just saying that playing with lots of people isn’t always good 😊
My New Year’s resolution is to not be so judgmental.
