Stats Summary? Nominees per Country?
Just browsing through them for now... it seems a very small number of NZers, considering this is a NZ-based forum/discussion-site/shit-fest. I'd be interested, if only to confirm that: "we aren't as one-eyed as we seem" and/or "Fucken 'ell, we've become pessimistic cynical grumpy old men, isn't it?"
I know I could do it myself, but... can't be arsed. -

I know I could do it myself, but... can't be arsed.I once introduced a bloke to The Fern who has a razor-sharp rugby brain and he thought this place NZ-centric, but one of the least one-eyed he'd come across.
Then again, perhaps he wasn't as smart as I thought he was

I think a bit of both.
Off the top of my head is noone nominating Jordie at 15. Surprised me.

NZ's record of appearances in the final elected XV (excludes Coach):
Country 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2021 NZL 10 11 5 14 6 10 10 10 9 N/A 10 11 4 (Note: 2008 there were a couple of ties ... but we were quite good that year.)
NZ Nominees this year: 8.
Will have to go through the threads to check number of nominees from last year.
And don't have records for years when I forgot to round up the results, and didn't run it ...
Reminder all. Polls open until the 14th Jan.

I think 2019 is the only other year it was run?
The 2019 XV had 3 AB’s
After I messed up 2016 it went into hiatus until you ran 2019. Then we started up again last year.

Hi Team
Further to @MajorRage 's post above it seems that for those who can't see the polls on the various OPs that refreshing the screen may work.
Cheers

The long awaited TheSilverFern.com Team of the Year for 2022 has been finalised.
The XV voted for by international contributors to the respected website spread the representation over seven nations, reflecting the current even nature of international competition and the wide open nature of the Rugby World Cup coming up in October and November of this year.
Of the nations contributing to the XV only Italy is considered an outsider for World Cup honours, with the exciting fullback Ange Capuzzo forcing his way into the team from the perennial Six Nations minnows.
World Rugby’s top ranked country, Ireland top the selection numbers with four, including the evergreen Jonny Sexton at first five-eighth, who like a good wine gets better with age. Joining him from the Emerald Isle are World Rugby Player of the Year Josh van der Flier at openside flanker, and the basis for a solid forward foundation, with the two Tadhg’s, Furlong and Beirne and tight-head prop and lock respectively.
France’s current 11 match unbeaten streak, dating back to November 2021, included a 100% voter turnout for half-back Antoin Dupont. Cyril Baille provides grunt up front at loose-head prop, while Damien Pernaud provides finishing ability on the right wing.
New Zealand’s hot and cold season has resulted in their lowest ever total of selected players in the TSF TOTY, three. The three selected however all showed the power and dynamism the team will need in their bid for a fourth RWC. Hooker Samisoni Taukei’aho and Number 8 Ardie Savea received overwhelming support from the voters, whilst speed machine Rieko Ioane topped the votes for the centre position.
Defending World Cup champions South Africa added both lock Eben Etzebeth and second five-eighth Damien de Allende.
Australia and England matched Italy and each other with a single player each to round out the team. Australia’s left winger Marika Koroibete, and England’s blindside flanker Courtney Lawes joining the team. The team will be coached by Women’s 2021 World Cup (in 2022) ) winning coach, The Professor, Wayne Smith, who will get to work his magic as he did to turn around the Black Ferns’ fotunes.
