USA don't have a lot of depth, as some of their subs are very average. Moore was bad for the second game in a row off the bench. Wright did nothing too.
A good effort to make the Round of 16 but the Netherlands should win comfortably.
Seems to be the case about their depth. And I think some players that needed to be replaced earlier including Mousa.

If Senegal get stuck in early and don’t cough up possession like we did England will choke
The group stages have thrown up more upsets than I can remember before. The knockouts are always tough whoever you play so Senegal have to be a threat. I think the biggest concern for their fans is England don't play positively and try to create on the ball
Are they that big an upset anymore?
Seems to me most teams here could beat most teams here. (With exception of Qatar, maybe Costa Rica.)
Not like back in the day. I seem to recall 1982 in Spain where there were two definite favourites in each group. (Weird second group stage though ...).
And IIRC it was only '86 in Mexico that there was "The Group of Death" where three teams had a realistic shot at two spots.
Now, 36 years later you really would put the house on any two teams in any group.

Denmark are excellent at creating chances and woeful at taking them.
I've just watched a replay, and that sums it up. Denmark would love to have someone of the quality of the Laudrup brothers leading the line today.
Well done Aussie. Solid and compact at the back, and took their chance well.

Crazy to think that if Denmark had snagged a goal from one of their many chances, Tunisia would be going through!
I thought Denmark used the ball very very well, just lack a bit of class to finish. Oz aren’t going to score a lot of goals but their compact style seemed to frustrate Denmark.
Oz to get Argentina (likely). Plenty of neutrals will be on the Aussie wagon.
