Highlanders Kings, Super Bang Bang
-

Faddes has been excellent all year. He has had a couple of outstanding games, especially against the Crusaders, but I've watched him closely all year and he really impresses me. Runs hard all game, and is extremely solid. He's also extremely quick.

He could be our 13 for Japan 2019.
-

Despite the score that was a bloody average game by the Highlanders, but hey, they piled on points when needed, got the win and the BP so basically you couldn't ask for more.

I was ironing while watching the first half and thinking man Aaron Smith is a bit sluggish this week, maybe he needed a week off, about 20 minutes in I realised it wasn't him.

Kings put in a good effort for nearly 70 minutes and the try to Sykes had a cracking build up.
-

So it's a good thing my supposed recording of the game was actually the Lions v Sharks rather than Clan v Kings? Something weird on the Foxtel EPG.

Doesn't appear I missed too much?

The All Blacks/NZ Super Rugby website had those two games confused, too. I only discovered it last night when I looked at Sky's tv guide. Maybe something wrong in the original Sanzaar schedule that was released last year?

And no, the highlights video will show all that was worth watching:

I didn't see the Lions game so can't compare the two - but there was some of decent play in the Highlanders match amongst the dross.
-

a more picky ref woulda called the Highlanders on the try where Sopoaga chipped to Osborne as there was a player in front of Sopoaga and he carried on moving forward toward the ball, despite the fact he was never in a position to affect play (think it was the Crusaders had one denied because Matt Todd was ahead but well away from the play)

Faddes has done a lot of good things this season and scored a number of tries but his poor handling and tackling - 22 turnovers conceded and 18 missed tackles with a success rate of just 67.9% - let him down.

Agree, very high error rate.
