T20 World Cup - Blackcaps vs England

Doully is giving it to England for subbing Jordan on. Fair enough as well, not really in the spirit of the game. Not that those catches were difficult though.

Hardly Jonty Rhodes stuff, I've got no beef

A decent effort.
Kane batting at 3 is a serious problem that no one inside the camp can seem to identify.
Retitle the threads on here about Cane with Kane and they’d be almost applicable…

Sodhi in at 8 is a bit early. Are we missing an all rounder? Or does it not really matter in this format?
I think we had enough batting in the top and middle. They just failed to do the business

You would hope that your top 6 would bat for the most part and have at least one of them with your 7 and 8 if wickets are lost.
Our tail is probably longer than previous teams we’ve used prior to the WC.

24 off 4.
My math says we still have a chance!
Math has just got better

Curran is Chris Harris

NZ: Poor Fielding - bowling options with our three quicks - Conway start - Kane’s run a ball innings
England: winning the toss and batting - hitting in the middle overs - use of bowlers and executing - targeting Kane - death bowling

Once Pihllips was out it was game over, the English bowlers were never going to lose from there bowling at the likes of Sodhi.
Disappointing in the end. Dropping Butler twice was pretty bloody important, and annoying given we usually make teams pay with our catching.
And then really Kane just took up too many balls, and you have to say that cost us the game given we only lost 6 wickets. Needed Neesh out there earlier to give him a chance to get his eye in, but when he finally got out there he just had to go from ball 1.
