yea, that's what i said.

Mates in Hamilton club rugby land say he wasn't even getting picked for Melville
-

I saw him up close at Ruakura once - he is farkin' huge. Like his big bro, I wouldn't want to be lifting him in the lineout. Skelton started at Marist before moving to Melville in club rugby but never seemed to live up to the hype. Still very young though so it will be interesting to see how he goes with C-M.

No, not if you don't count lunchtime games at school.

Enormous, powerful, explosive yes, "fit" for what they do......but I would NOT call them "fit".
-

We'll agree to disagree then, but I suspect if you need a big bastard to explode up a flight of four steps, and do it a hundred times with a short rest in between, then they'll smash the 'running fit' people.

Disclaimer: I am neither lineman fit, nor running fit. I'm not here, though

A gratuitous Star Wars reference will always get a "like" from me....

I'm not a huge football fan but I thought those guys had big long rests in between. They can lift weights that would embarrass Owen Franks but in terms of repeated efforts that's where they fall over hence the need for oxygen on the sideline as the offensive and defensive teams switch over.

It's a pretty pointless argument in one sense though cos whilst Hamish Carter and Nick Willis ( haha ) might be incredibly "fit" they'd get fucken smashed the moment they went into, or made, a tackle in any contact sport code.
-

From what I've seen and read ( not much admittedly ) it sounds like Will Skelton could do with dropping 15-20kg to be a better, more effective player. It obviously runs in the family ( although looks like no one "runs" in that family #subliminaldadjoke ) NTA will explain it better as someone who watches him much more closely but he seems a real "highlights" reel player, Bill Cavubati was pretty handy at that too and he is hardly revered as even half decent at NPC level let alone International.

Nah, there was another photo of him doing the rounds a year or two back, next to Waratahs play Tala Grey (I think). Grey is 6'4" and Logan towered over him.
-

If he's 6 foot 2 I'm definitely 6 foot 5 so everyone wins.
